In my opinion the single best scouting service out there has released their final rankings. Bjorck is their #1 player in class and McKwnna is down at #3. I personally love it.

You love it because its...stupid ? Or because its...valid ? Or because its...buzzy ?
Or because subscriptions are down, so lets throw the provocative ranking out there

And i like Bjorck. I already said he was with Gustafsson the best players to come from Sweden this year

the accurate heights is a chef's kiss love the small details

No Command in the top 32 either? Pretty floored by this years list. Not because it's quite a bit different from consensus or whatever, but I'm just so surprised that the Lawrence and Commands of the world got pushed down by like...both Rucks? Rogowski?? Not that I don't like these guys a good deal, but I thought I knew their preferences better lol

Clickbait

It’s clearly clickbait
As an HP alum, I can promise there isn't an element of clickbait. I was in those meetings for years and not once did this concept come up. It's all about who the scouts in the room feel will be the best at the end of the day.

I had actually challenged Mark - who I had and still have a ton of respect for - years ago about HP's lack of media/public-friendly content haha. I thought we left meat on the bone from that perspective.

This is the service that pushes scouts to actual legit levels, this is the service NHL teams purchased (and I presume still do)...the "I disagree because I crave consensus, therefore this is a sinister product" is nonsense...you're welcome to feel any way you like, of course, but it's not based on real events based on my experience...

The people calling it clickbait would shit themselves if they saw an actual NHL teams list. It's not going to look like a public scout's consensus driven list.
Most people just want to see the same old list with small, largely irrelevant variations, whether it's a draft list or ranking players historically. It's not interesting or reflective of reality, but that's what they want. Then when they see a ranking from someone who is informed on the players at hand... easily dismissed because they didn't regurgitate the general list.

Not everyone, but a lot of people. The guys who made this list at least are familiar with the players.

I don't know what the grades mean, but that's the typical number of A rated prospects, it doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of separation within that group.
then I'd be curious to know what the grades mean

can't even think of a draft class that had 19 "A" level prospects

maybe Mark will chime in

Jonas Lagerberg Hoen is not a player I watched this year, let alone heard talked about

good on hockeyprospect.com if he pans out

played very few games this year
Not to take anything away from them, but he’s been pushed up to the 30s in a lot of lists now. Pronman and scouching have had him up there for a bit already

That makes sense since he didn't play hockey this year. ;) He injured a knee in October.
