Any sort of core injury is crippling in hockey.

After living through Ryan Ellis and Nolan Patrick I’m extremely weary of any injury issues

Interesting list. Surprised that neither Emery or Elick made the list, and that there are only ten D in the top 32. I would imagine that will make for the quite the run on D early on in the 2nd round.

I had planned to talk about this prior to the draft. My answer is a big NO!

It stayed weak in the QMJHL and it was the weakest NTDP for draft prospects in years but the OHL prospects made huge strides since I said that last fall.

I didn't expect players like Luchanko, Beaudoin, Vanacker and O'Reilly to climb as much as they did. We have a bunch more as our list continues on outside of our top 32.

I can't remember a season where so many OHL players improved so much. It was a big talking point with NHL scouts this year. OHL based scouts were a bit down in the dumps in the fall...it's a long season for the NHL team scouts who don't leave Ontario when it's a weak class in their area. I was a happy camper and so were the NHL area guys.

Some teams allowed the QMJHL scouts to come to Ontario this year because the Q was so weak.

I only know one team scout who has any real time for him. He liked him early (like the 2nd ) but who knows.

All the other scouts I spoke to saw him like me. Athlete on skates with no hockey sense. I will say he played a bit better late in the year.

Woked on the print this morning. Amazon is a disaster, they are accepting the cover but they make u preview it. I gave up after 45 minutes of the "please wait updating" message. I'll dig in again now.

Actual book file accepted no problem. If i get the cover disaster figured out it should be available in a few days.
