No please. Go ahead
I asked first. Find me one thing I said that’s outlandish.

He’s 19 and will continue to improve (sounds reasonable)
He’s better than Rasmussen (lol ya I’m right)
He’s better than Toews (most debatable one, similar point totals, one is 19 and hasn’t even broke out yet, one is declining)

Again, I do t know what Nico did to you, or how any of my statements make me a homer.

Thought it was reasonable to start this since @TwoPiece is so sold on Rasmussen. I’m missing the problem.

I agree he’s better than Rasmussen. But it was quite pathetic to create this poll.

And you’re painting yourself in quite the objective light. Your “sounds reasonable” prediction of progression is what I found to be a homer statement back in the Hischer thread. “What the kid f*** your gf. Take a hike bud” was how you responded to me thinking that Hischer would be a 65 point player.

But please, do go find many of the homers things I say. You said you’ll hold off, but I’m asking you to go for it

At this point I'd love to see Hischier get Kronwalled by Rasmussen, and then a rink mic picks up, "suck on those apples, zharkenby!"

Don’t care enough, point still stands.

You really wanna have a discussion about this post. So let me get It straight

Saying it’s reasonable that a 19 year old who went 1st overall in last years draft will improve is a “homer statement” ... sure bud. Sure. You should prob watch Nico play next season and refrain from further comments. Nobody is saying he’s the next mcdavid.

Nico very easily

Rasmussen is not elite
Rasmussen wouldn’t go top 5 in a redraft
Vilardi is better than Rasmussen
And finally Rasmussen won’t put up 40 points this year

The fact that one will get better while the other one will decline does not make him a better player now. It might give him a better value, but I remember when you made the statement that's not what you were talking about, you clearly stated that he was a "better hockey player". Nope, just nope.

Don’t care enough, or realize you won’t find much. There honestly aren’t too many player on my team, or any team for that matter that I fangirl over. I’m simply not that big on homer posting. If I get in arguments with people on here, it’s because I’m calling them out, usually not the other way around.
So please. You said you can find “A TON” of my homer quotes. I really really really want your *** ass to do it.

You got pissed when I said he’d be a 65 point player, which doesn’t seem too crazy to me. So yes I think you’re a homer.

Again, is it outlandish that Nico can be a better hockey player this upcoming season?

Right because you have basis for saying this, because you clearly did not watch him play.

46 even strength points as an 18/19 year old, and his ceiling is 65. Again, can’t see how I’m being the irrational one. You keep coming up with different reasons as to how I’m being a homer and you keep getting shut down.

Nobody here (well except @TwoPiece) is being a homer. You’re just uninformed. That’s all

65 is not irrational at all. And yes I’ve seen him play. International tournament, a few QMJHL games and I’d easily say 10ish games. Most of which were when the Devils were playing teams I root for.

I think he is comparable to RNH and OReilly. RNH had the better rookie season and look at his progression. So idk why you act like it’s a guarantee he progresses linearly.

Also don’t ignore the 1st part. You said you can find a ton of my homer quotes. Do it. Follow through

Things like this make you a homer. Guys like Matthews are quite clearly on another level.

And im sure there are some leaf fans who would love to agree
