I would argue that tonight was make or break. Make it and you're going into that road trip on a high and believing in yourself. But the blew it and as much as I hate it, and I f***ing want the team in the playoffs, they will not be in any kind of mix by the time January is over.

The thing is… if they actually wake up and play 0.500 for the next month it would go a long way toward approaching “respectable”. That’s all most of us want, anyway. Making the playoffs was never really in the cards but playing better than we have so far is definitely necessary.

I think it was mid December when the Habs started sliding last year.

Playoffs are out of reach early again, so that will make the viewing that much tougher. Not that I expected playoffs but I was hoping that they would be close enough for a longer period of time.

Now. I just hope for a bit more consistency from the win loss standpoint, I guess. Try not to let the slides get out of hand.
