that schedule is no joke.

I guess in one months times will know exactly who the 24-25 Montreal Canadiens are.
I think most of us have a pretty good idea in that regard. There will be no big surprises: whether good or bad.

I'd like to come out of ajanuary w8th some gritty performances, so hard fought wins, but ultimately in the bottom 4. Just 1 more pick and we are good to go next year.

Well if Tkachuk is out that can help the Habs, what about Kucherov? Is he facing any supplemental disciplinary action?

I agree. Flush some of the overpriced/underperforming veterans this year and next thereby gaining some crucial cap flexibility, see the development of some of our better prospects and have one more impactful draft and the future will be bright.

lol, maybe.

I've learned over the years the consensus of this board means absolutely nothing, and people are wrong more than they are right.

Voted 7-8 points

There's like 3 games we should probably win and maybe we win another lucky one or lose some in OT

It’s not the picks that will help us to go, but the players. Right now, with about a half dozen underperforming, we don’t have the players to get out of the basement.

If they (Slaf, Newhook, Dach, Struble, Xhekaj + Guhle) show more in the next month it’ll go a long way for our team’s future prospects imo.

Barring any major moves to improve that dreadful 2nd line or get a back up for Sammy can’t see them getting into double digits in points

We are only a .300 team on the road so far and that’s without such a tough schedule

We play 3 games in 4 nights so many times over this schedule, have to think Primeau's time is done and they'll use Dobes or Hughes

Gotta do it soon because we have Florida, Tampa, and Vegas 3 in 4 night starting tomorrow and all on the road

What the hell... let's say 17 pts for an even .500 record.

Tough matchups and final results often don't correspond. A year ago last January, Habs beat NYR, Colorado, NJ, and Dallas, but lost to Buffalo and SJ. I'm ready to be surprised.

Yeah that Dallas game was fun up by three and Dallas pull their goalie with 5:00 left.
Not only could we not score with 5 minutes of empty net we allowed them to score 2 6v5 goals.

Thinking they might play closer to ,500 in February though.

Don't care as long as they play well, and Dach continues to progress.
Developing our core players should be the priority, right? I don't care directly about wins and losses, but the better our young players become, the more wins we'll get. So, indirectly, I'm hoping for more wins, because it means the Habs' next wave is progressing.

Without looking at specific games this is much where I expect them to be points wise 11-12-13.
If we can keep the goal diff close I'd call it a successful stretch of games.
