Post-Game Talk: High Wolltage revenge Leafs 2:1 Avs

Is that really how they are calculating this?
Because a shot that misses the net has zero chance of going in - can that really be called a scoring chance.

Sccoring chance = opportunity you have to score, not the number of dangerous shot you taking off those opportunity

A deflected shot on netting, blocked shot by d a missing pass on a 2v1, etc.. don't have any chance to goes in but still scoring. If you want scoring chance shot, you can pratically can reduce that number of 50%

So 4v4 or PP/ PK doesn't count?

Yeah i'm agree EN attempt chance the number and how many good scoring chance did avs had after Woll save on Nelson? Did they really had a single great A scoring chance last 12 when leafs protecting their lead?

Sure, they do count.

What were the numbers without the EN? Because you are not excluding that and it sways the numbers a fair bit.

Flawless absolutely not. But if a puck isn’t on net it literally cannot go in so it feels a little weird to count them as scoring chances.

I guess it really depends on the perspective though.
I’d say you gave up the potential of 30 scoring chances and the team getting the breakaways converted them into 0 actual scoring chances.

It’s an interesting discussion
Not to mention that not every shot on target should be considered a scoring chance.

Anybody know where the “show ignored threads” option went? Used to be at bottom of page and was only way to follow GDTs created by ignored posters.

Why get rid a cheap tandem starter who is signed for another year?
We have no draft capital and we have 2 stud goalie prospects who will be cheap for years woll was supposed to be our number 1 before the stolarz signing we need to replenish from somewhere should be from a place of strength cause he will command a healthy increase which we don’t need to allocate to

Well that’s good to know. Thanks.
Hopefully that’s the case and not a site glitch. I know yesterday trying to pick a team in the pickem contest and couldn’t get it to register. Finally someone figured out you had to press the white part of the screen instead of the actual team itself.

Isn't it a scoring chance every time you get possession when the net is empty, even if you're in your own end, and decide not to shoot? Is it a scoring chance if you dump it out and it's on net but not hard enough? For that matter, was Matthews' goal a scoring chance (or even counted as a shot) since it looked like a pass to either Knies or Nylander that got deflected by the Avs D?

So many questions, so little Whisky.

Personally, I thought both goalies played well, and they both made some pretty spectacular saves. The one 'bad' goal was the winner - Blackwood looked too flat in the crease, possibly because of the ref or the 2on1, but Lorentz picked the corner.

Matty was looking really good. His goal was a deflection on the PP, but he had several other chances. First line cycled well all game.

JT wasn't very good. Liked McMann on that line, and it seemed to wake up Willy.

Really impressed with Carlo and Tanev.

Blackwood was covering Sutherland waiting for the pass back.

You can see by the angle in net, his focus wasn't Lorentz.

This is an absolutely massive win against a contender playing in form.

Playoff style game, and I gotta say we outplayed them.

Some notes:
- Big game from the top line. So many takeaways and made the opposing top line play in their own end.

- Really solid games from Tanev, Mccabe and Rielly

- Huge performance by Woll. Both goalies played well

- 3rd line wasn't bad, kept up with the flow

- Holmberg is awful. Offense dies when the puck is within 6ft of him

- 4th line is pretty bad, although Lorentz seemed decent

- OEL looks awful. Wonder if he's burnt out and needs rest

This Woll's best game as a pro. The Av's play faster than the Leafs do and seem to always be in our passing lanes. Excellent win, but you should win when your goalie has his best game. Onto Da Big Apple.

You just agreed with what I said... they got outplayed and Woll saved them...

Is reading hard?

Woll only started TWO (2) games out of SEVEN (7) - - he didn’t “save” the Leafs at all, because he didn’t have the opportunity thanks to Bozo the Keefe insisting on Samsonov the Sieve.
