Funny at the deadline I felt alright about the Laughton deal and not good about the Carlo deal...couple weeks later and I am the complete opposite lol

Very good game from the top line. Felt like they were dangerous most of the night with a few posts.

Avs had a lot of shots but Leafs defended their crease very well and Woll was a beast. Leafs pressed very well with the lead in the 3rd and probably could have buried 3-4.

They needed that kind of game from Matthews and Woll, but they need to find another gear from a lot of players.

Going to buy tickets tonight and make the hour drive to Kanata and see the angry Avs beat the hell out of the Senators tomorrow

forgot the Leafs are in NYC tomorrow, got carried away, Kanata sucks anyhow lol. It’s a good rink tho nice and roomy, better than Tor and Mtl except getting out of the parking lots

We were outchanced this game but we could’ve won by a few. We had some big chances that we didn’t capitalize on.

Was 95% Woll... the Mac line dominated and Tanev had some of the worst stats on the team.

Woll was great, I am glad we have goaltending that can steal games, he did it last playoffs too, and teams need that to win, but this was a bad game.

Stats shmats ? Tanev was great.

Woll was great, but the shots aren’t really indicative of the quality of our game. Colorado had some good shots for sure, but overall we kept them to outside pretty well. This was a team effort.

Would have liked to see our own shots to go up a bit more. Still need to get more pucks on net and create more traffic in front.

Next 5 games are NYR, NSH, PHI, SJ, LA, ANA. No reason to not go at least 4-1 over that stretch. NYR and LA games are the realistic ones we'd probably lose because LA is pretty decent and we play the Rangers tomorrow after tonight's game in New York which could be tough, but it is also the Rangers who have looked bad. Unfortunately for us the Panthers and Lightning also have a somewhat easy stretch their next 5. TB has 2 hard games though so there's hope.

This team has been bailed out a lot by goaltending, sorry if you don't want to discuss it, I figured the forums were for discussion.

Both Florida and Tampa will lose tomorrow night. The only difficult game for the Leafs in that stretch is the LA game. By the end of this stretch, the Leafs will pretty much have the division in hand.

He had a VERY strong game no question but I don't think It's that simple.

I know he made 38 saves but I do think the team had a good defensive game too.

I don't think this one was stolen.

There were a few grade A chances by the end but none in the 1st period and not many by the end, although like I said there were a few.

Yeah his defence didn't help him out at all and make his job easier even though Colorado threw a lot of shots at net. He made a few big saves to bail out the D but he's a goalie and that's what he gets paid to do from time to time which we haven't had for a while.
