Prototypical win tonight: outshot, took more penalties than opposition, blocked more shots, goalie was in the zone, outplayed in first period (their worst of the game).
This can work in the playoffs as long as they bend but don't break. It's a really dangerous way to try and win games though.
Also, who is first star tonight, Woll or the ref who lost his balance when the Leafs drill a puck at him?

Cracked this joke after last game but did Matty coast all season just to save beast mode for the end of the year and playoffs???
Was 95% Woll... the Mac line dominated and Tanev had some of the worst stats on the team.
Woll was great, I am glad we have goaltending that can steal games, he did it last playoffs too, and teams need that to win, but this was a bad game.

I am just happy they didn't spend half the game trying to piss around with fancy bs.
Felt like Colorado was carrying the play for large parts of that game. I HATED our breakouts and neutral zone play.
Woll was fantastic, as was Matthews. I thought the Tavares line was terrible until the later half of the third where they were excellent. Extended shifts in the offensive zone... perfect timing. Stevey with the GWG, gotta love it! Pretty sure Berube hates Robertson right now. Knies had a better game, needs to finish something there. Thought the 3rd line started well and faded fast.
McCabe, Tanev and Carlo were splendid!
Sutherland can get f***ed, but thanks for the game winning assist.

After the Ottawa game I said the Leafs would go on a winning streak, which is exactly what is happening. By this time next week they will have a good lead on Florida and Tampa. Battle of Ontario in the first round unless Ottawa falters down the stretch.

I think the second line was ok to start got worst with jarny on it and looked it’s best with mcmann on it no coincidence that the third line didnt look as good without mcmann but didn’t give up much with jarnkork on there

1st period avs controlled the puck but created nothing at all and leafs got the 2 best scorilng chance of the period.
2nd : leafs start strong 1st half and avs dominated 2nd half.
3nd : luck go leafs side and lorentz took a great shot and leafs to finish this game, just wow...

In Keefe era, it was always hard to close out game especially against good team but the last 5 was 100% about winning 1v1 battle. Leafs basically won everyone 50/50 battle in last 5 minutes and the last time i'm probably saw omething like this was probably in 2002- 2003.
This team like they played tonight for me look closer to a team who can have succes in playoff than previous years.

If Matthews plays like that the line will be amazing he was carrying the pucc and dictating play

We were outchanced this game but we could’ve won by a few. We had some big chances that we didn’t capitalize on.

Yes I think we just have to manage your gift. I think that when you predict a specific game they lose (cough SJ) but general trends is Fine.
