holy shit this moved quickly

Happy SOli stepped up to take on my team. I am currently working about 80hours a week and I am wrecked

Accounting for players already selected on the list you sent me, I think I secured 4 of the top-7 names on the list. And that Zam Plante trade when he got auto'ed before your pick? Oooo I know you liked that transaction. Put me on payroll!

Below is Boston's completed 2022 draft class. Definitely took some players I like early so I doubt I fare too well compared to the actual draft in the +/-. Happy with the picks. If I could do it again though I would take Matthew Seminoff at #54. Wasn't expecting him to go so soon.

2 (54) - G - Tyler Brennan - Prince George, WHL
3 (91) - C - Servac Petrovsky - Owen Sound, OHL
4 (127) - C - Tyson Dyck - Cranbrook, BCHL
6 (162) - D - Alexander Pelevin - Nizhny Novgorod, MHL
7 (200) - D - Seamus Powell - USNTDP U18, USHL
7 (215) - RW - Adam Zlnka - Sioux Falls, USHL

My draft summary for Detroit and Pittsburgh.
:wings
8 - RW Joakim Kemell, JYP - Liiga
40 - LW Alexander Perevalov, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl - KHL/MHL
52 - D Elias Salomonsson, Skellefteå AIK - SHL
73 - C/LW Ludwig Persson, Frolunda HC - SHL
105 - C/LW Jake Karabela, Guelph Storm - OHL
113 - F Josh Filmon, Swift Current Broncos - WHL
129 - C Cedrick Guindon, Owen Sound Attack - OHL
137 - D Tyson Jugnauth, West Kelowna Warriors - BCHL
201 - F Jake Sloan, Tri-City Americans - WHL
212 - G Maxim Mayorov, Lada Togliatti - MHL

Kemell
is a pretty polarizing player but I liked him when I got the chance to watch him. I don't know if his offensive game is as good as it looked when he started the year on a torrid pace though. Perevalov to me felt like BPA at 40 so I just went for it. Salomonsson came into the year with a lot of hype that he failed to capitalize on but I like his tools and he's one of the younger guys in the draft so I felt he was worth the shot. Persson is a similar story (minus the age thing), although I probably drafted him higher than he will go, his speed is top notch. Karabela's brilliant performance at the Top Prospects Game put him on my radar, his size will probably lead him to drop as well but I'm a fan. The rest of my picks were mostly scouting report sleuthing with the exception of Mayorov, whose stats and size caught my intrigue. Fun fact: He's Vasili Koshechkin's son.

:pens
Zaddy's picks:
21 - C Noah Ostlund, Djurgardens IF - SHL
118 - D Daniil Orlov, Sakhalinskiye Akuly - MHL

My picks:
150 - C Kocha Delic, Sudbury Wolves - OHL
182 - D Leo Gruba, Hill-Murray School - USHS-MN
214 - RW Theo Keilin, Skellefteå AIK - SHL

I thought Delic would've gone slightly earlier and I did like what I see in my limited viewing of him but I mostly deferred to Brock Otten's scouting report of him. Gruba seems like the perfect raw draft-and-follow kind of guy this late in the draft because if he pans out, you got a nice 6'2" RHD and we all know that's a commodity around here. I thought long and hard about Adam Zlnka with my last pick because I liked him at the Hlinka-Gretzky but ultimately I thought he'd go undrafted and be a good camp invite. Keilin had 30 goals in the Sweden's J20 league, felt like that was worth the gamble at 214.

Hopefully I don't jinx it lol but we really picked up the pace here the past week or so, so great work everybody! Draft season is always my favorite time of the year and I always enjoy participating in the Mock Draft. Can't wait for the real draft to get underway!

I loved my draft this year. I mean obviously I'm biased but I really do feel like I cleaned up.

1 - (1) Shane Wight RC: I still feel like Wright is the best player in the draft and hes going to give a team some underrated offence and two way ability. Trying to hit a homerun in Slafkovsky would be fun but honestly he seemed to get a but lucky with some of his goals this year and I think hes getting a little overrated because of his size.
1 - (26) Liam Ohgren LW: Not a sexy pick but guys like these dont grow on trees. He makes his linemates better, does all the hard work along the boards and has some underrated offence. I've seen some lists come out recently (Scouching and Graviteh) and both have him around 12/13. I see some Landeskog/Hyman in his game. Good players will want to play with him.
2 - (33) Tristan Luneau RD: Like Ohgren he was the BPA on my board. Hes another guy who plays a mature two way game and will be a top 4 dman in the league. Luneau was recovering from injury all season. He has the talent, size and is a RHD to boot. Hes a first round pick in my book with underrated offensive two way ability. He might take a while but I could see him playing like Cody Ceci or Jake Muzzin type role for a team. I think hes been a bit over scouted and getting passed by some flashier players.
2 - (44) Seamus Casey RD: Probably one of my more controversial picks but I really do see Casey as a modern day defenceman. His angles, reads, anticipation and hockey sense are just top notch. Hes going to be a guy like Samuel Girard that puts up a quiet 3 points but you dont recognize because he knows where to put the puck before he even gets it. I've seen some rankings having him in the 1st round.
2 - (62) Julian Lutz LW: Very intriguing prospect. I think he could have been a late first rounder if he didnt have injuries this year. Hes not as talented as a guy like Bokk but he works hard, has a lethal shot and has a much more projectable game. Big goal scoring wingers always go higher than you think on draft day.
3 - (92) Dylan James LW: I've seen James go in the second round in some mock drafts so to get him at the end of the 3rd was a nice surprise. He had an incredible season and hopefully he can use that confidence going forward. I like that hes willing to go hard to the net.
4 - (98) Nicholas Moldenhauer RW: Maybe a bit of a homerun pick here but I've seen Moldenhauer ranked much higher on several draft boards. Hes a talented player with nice hands. I don't think he lasts to the 4th round.
4 - (119) Pano Fimis RC: Pano seems to be a polarizing project. I see all the skill and I think he would do much better as a support player. Unfortunately hes been relied on to carry most of the offence on a poor team. Hard to score when you're constantly being covered by two guys and your linemates cant capitalize.
4 - (128) Beau Jelsma LC: Love this guys energy and effort. He might not be the home run pick that plays in the top 6 but he could be a top 9 option and be a valuable depth piece in a support role.
5 - (130) Alex Bump LW: I think bump in the 5th round is a steal. Talk about home run potential. Bump destroyed his competition and was named Mr.Hocky (I believe). Hes a big guy that could never amount to anything or be the next Jamie Benn.
6 - (183) Liam Arnsby RC: Looked fantastic shutting down Shane Wright. I dont think he will ever have a lot of offence but if hes a Danault type you're laughing. I think he will end up being more of a Matt Hendricks energy type that helps lead a team in a depth role.
7 - (194) Antonin Verreault LW: I've seen Verreault rated in the top 100. Hes a guy that was a point per game player in the Q. I think the upside is there but obviously the size is an issue. For a 7th round pick sign me up.
7 - (214) Marcel Marcel LW: Big Czech winger that put up good offensive numbers. I've seen other mocks take him as early as the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Also just going to ask now, at the rate this is going I may have to make both my picks once I’m done my shift tomorrow. (5pm till whenever) So if it’s possible would you guys mind waiting? Still would give us lots of time before the draft 😩

I went through the draft list three times looking for his name....thought the same thing....had him crossed off on my draft list already for some reason. Dionicio was a forward until three years ago. He's still learning the defense position, but he has great puck skills due to playing forward most of his life. I think he has a high ceiling for a 7th round pick.

@Jimmi McJenkins 6 hours have passed. Are we going to auto?

We're so close to the end, no more autos.

@Jimmi McJenkins needs to pick.

@ChaoticOrange is OTC to pick his consolation prize.

The Flyers are pleased to select USHL Forward of the Year LW Jeremy Wilmer of the Tri-City Storm. This kid will either be the next Gaudreau or absolutely nothing at all and exactly the kind of player I'd swing for the fences with in the 7th round.

5) RD Simon Nemec, Slovakia Nitra MHC
69) LHC Bryce McConnell-Barker, OHL Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
101) RHC Ryan Greene, USHL Green Bay Gamblers
133) LD Angus Booth, QMJHL Shawinigan Cataractes
165) G Reid Dyck, WHL Swift Current Broncos
197) LD Tyler Duke, USDP
220) LW Jeremy Wilmer, USHL Tri-City Storm

@MettleMcOiler up with the Oilers

All in all, I'm quite happy with my draft. I feel like I got 2nd round talents with my third and fourth round picks and while everyone else is a crapshoot I think I placed solid bets on guys with NHL upside. I've seen Dyck and Duke go 3rd round in other mocks. I compared my draft to one on the mains and came out +207 with a bingo at 133 so I'm crossing my fingers it plays out like that
