Yeah, I went to Oswego and almost all of my college buddies still live in the CNY area, most in Buffalo and Rochester. They all make average money, yet all have NICE 4 bedroom houses that they bought at like 24 or so.

Of course their total payments a month are like $900 bucks (mortgage, taxes, utilities) and my rent alone for my 1 BR apartment is $2,150.

This pain. I understand it.

So it's just gen eds that suck? I'll remember that.

Also I'm just starting my finals for the last time in highschool. Still doesn't feel right since I'm ending around a month sooner than everyone else

Well if you take organic chemistry apparently that sucks too but depends on how you learn it I guess. I have to sell all these books I have. Would love extra cash

If you go into orgo with the mindset that it's bad, you're going to do bad. It's a lot of information, but it's definitely manageable.

Also, if anyone ever needs help with orgo, they can shoot me a message and I'd be more than happy to help.

organic chemistry and biochem were my favorite classes in college

i work in the biotech industry though so ymmv

I'm hoping to be a type of attorney. Otherwise I'll just go into contracting cause I've done it before. And have ways to get considered for federal openings thankfully.

Dashcam video of that major accident a couple days ago on the Tappan Z bridge...scary stuff! Shocked nobody was hurt, that could have had a MUCH worse outcome.

It is a pretty terrible bridge. The new bridge better be better since it has 8 lanes instead of 7 (worst idea EVER created whoever thought of that rotating lane)

Imagine graduating 5 years ago today...I remember my college graduation like it was last month. Distant, but still fresh in my mind.

my graduation was long and cringe worthy so I'm not too keen on remembering it

I'm going to grad school next semester anyway so it's not like I finished.

Mine was a 3.5 hour affair. Brutal since I was still half drunk and only on 3 hours of sleep from the night before.

The day after graduation was probably the most depressed I've ever been. The guys I shared an apartment with all bailed the day of graduation, leaving my hungover ass to clean the entire apartment up after them before we closed out for the summer. That, and full-knowing that a great time in my life was coming to close and nothing but unknowns moving back home awaiting me, and it was a pretty sucky feeling.

You'll get through it though. You're smart by going to grad school right away if you can afford it. Live at home and save your money. I worked for three years before starting grad school. I'm kicking myself now for it, wishing I had started at least a year before I did. It's no fun still working that full time job, going to grad school part time, and trying to plan a wedding and buy a house, all at the same time.

Girls in post college life will still be interested in you , even if you're still living at home, as long as you're generally well spoken and not a dick. You'll be fine if you're concerned about that.
