OT: HFNYR Official Foodie Thread including Craft Beer, Wine & Liquor

So, here's a weird question.

I have a bottle (2012) of Sam Adams Utopia that's new in the box, etc... Where/how can I sell this thing? I assume it's worth north of a grand but no idea how to legally put it up for sale.
Unless you can get your county or the state of Florida to issue you a special sales license ($25), you’ll have to play in that legal gray area of trying to move it through a private group or illegally reselling it.

My favorite i usually go to the Junmai Daiginjo type. Dassai 45 is a pretty good brand. I also had this one in a green square bottle called demon slayer. lol

Here is the bottle…

Related and underrated:

Korean Soju.

If you put it in flavored seltzer water like Lacroix you literally don't even taste the alcohol but it works all the same. It's f***ing delicious either way - straight from the bottle or mixed.

I don't pretend to have an immaculate palate... was just going by what I've tried & while I started in Australia I'm still relatively new to wine.

The ones you recommended seem fairly pricy...

If you have any ~20 or under I'd love to hear them.
You'd have to get into blend territory or I'd recommend Mendoza Malbecs. El Enemego and Alamos off the top of my head. Leviathan Red Blend sticking with California.

I've been out of the loop when it comes to wine for some time. I'm sure there's many great options at $20. It's all about the balance of the juice.

Little known fact… Soju is the leading cause of lost rank among American soldiers.

Had a very successful morning of Bourbon hunting. Snagged 4 bottles of Eagle Rare at $45 a piece, a Smokewagon blenders select rye and, two bottles of Redline experimental cask series (1 maple and 1 cherry brandy cask aged).

If you see it at your local liquor store, they are delicious.

Nice! I had a store offer me an Old Carter for $250 today. Kinda tempted ngl, but i've also been eyeing grabbing a backup of my Bruichladdich Black Arts

Crazy. Here, even at the local liquor stores, you have to earn "points" and get on a list etc... I'll never see a bottle of that stuff. :P

And I thought Georgia was bad for finding quality bourbon. I have a few private resale groups I am in for the super hard to find stuff (although it is usually 2-4x MSRP).

There are so many quality bourbons available outside of the allocated bottles, if you need recommendations let me know!

Get a lobster roll @ DJ’s clam shack… they’re the size of a football & amazing
It's a little late, but need to give you huge props for this. I stayed an hour away but both days in Key West I went there. Absolutely outstanding. I might have a pic on my phone I can upload.

Going to Toronto in October (god damn Leafs are on the road ofc), but was hoping for some more great food insight from anyone up north of the border, or who have been there enough to know.

Just got back from a two week trip to Europe and had some amazing meals.

The highlights were Bar Canete in Barcelona and Panorama in Capri.

The pizza below we had in Rome. Crazy good

Great food & experiences
