I can vouch for the quality of both of these posters.

As am I. But take away posts in the Lounge from my post count and that's easily over a 50% reduction in my post count.

Couple of things that screws up your "like" theory of quality of poster.

1) Some of us have been around for much longer than the like button has been available and those comments were counted without likes. Therefore newer posters should in theory have a better post/like ratio.

2) Some posters do things such as create kick ass GDT's and will get 60+ likes on a single post as they start the GDT. Don't get me wrong - in Habs land our GDT guys are the best of the best....but those likes are not necessarily indicative of their quality of posts...unless of course you place high quality on things like graphic design and humor....which I do....but I'm not sure if that is what you are referring to.

3) with the laughing emoji and now anger emoji......a significant amount of interactions can be considered down votes. Take it from me....I've generated a few laughing emojis when Im not trying to be funny.

Yes ignore doesn't affect anything other than you seeing it and alerts

Like ratios mean nothing tbh. On the Canucks board a few years ago u could farm likes by just saying something negative about Jim Benning. Ie Jim Benning sucks, 15+ likes truly inspiring posting.

That’s harsh, I’m well below 1, but I do the right things and there’s dozens of team boards that would want me and a lot of other “1 and under posters” on their boards.

Some people think that likes equals relevance it doesn't.

A stupid post that's popular with other stupid posters will always get likes, it the brave new world we live in those people feed off each other.
