I'm old enough to remember when the highly knowledgeable posters on the main boards told us Monahan wasn't worth a first round draft pick.

There is a 100% mandate from the top in lots of NHL games as to which way it should go

It's mindboggling. You have Leon Draisaitl, on a PP, entering seattles zone. 100%, clear and visibly tripped. Maybe 5 feet from a ref. Not even debatable. refs just picks his nose.

Then before Seattles PP goal, Dylan Holloway has a guy wrap hsi left arm around his face and almost tackle him down. Plain view. Ref just picks his nose.

Then you have Hopkins shove a guy lightly and he flops down.

Leon was dumb for even being aggressive, but another flop called.

Edmonton is one of the top possession teams in the league and is bottom 5 in PPs. They are not even PP merchants this year either,

Yous ee this happen in most games around the league

The refs just blow the whistles when they feel like it.

They are close to TJ Miller. You really have to be a prick to get to that guys level
You could have just said “Draisaitl took a really dumb penalty with under a minute left”

McDavid and Draisaitl really are whiny bitches
Maybe because players are allowed to water ski off them and no penalty. But if they tap someone with their glove it is. This is backed up by the Oilers being one of the top offensive teams yet getting the least amount of power plays. It’s annoying enough watching as a fan, can’t imagine being a player.

Their record setting PP really hindered them. It's like the refs think it's an auto goal and the PP does not even look good this year lol. I just want them to kill some time off a clock if they are winning a game. Makes no sense.

Hanifin is a hell of a player, but I just don't see it happening? Florida has nothing to really give up that would be enticing in a trade, and if he comes with an extension it's going to make things awkward in the room.
My thoughts as well. Unless Lundell or maybe even Knight were going the other way, I don't see a piece that Calgary would go for. And even those might not move the needle enough for Calgary.

They also have a reputation, that’s not going to help them when it comes to getting calls

Has nothing to do with that crap. If they called every hold on McDavid the other team would have 40 penalties a night so they can't do that.

NHL refs don't actually "ref" a game like other sports. The actual term what they do is "game manager", they "manage" a game.

There also aren’t that many actual infractions, fans tend to be biased when it comes to plays with there players.

Has nothing to do with bias, McDavid is simply too fast for this league, maybe in 20-30 years defensemen will able to skate with him, but in the current league, no he's just a video game character out there, you have to be able to grab and hold and cheat on him and be given leeway from the refs, it's just not possible to skate backwards that fast.

False, your post shows that there is fan bias also

Makar did it just fine and I'm sure you don't need me to post the video of it

I know what I said, and that wasn’t it

You went on about putting on skates and how you'd knock him on his ass, to which I think I was laughing hysterically.

I remember that only because it's probably the dumbest thing I ever read on these boards and I've been here a while.
