The replay showed that the puck was under Monty until Point ran into him. Can't tell from the replay if Monty had it covered though because he wasn't sitting on the ice.
The annoying thing is that the vast majority of the times the blind refs wouldn't see it was loose when it was under him.

And a faking bullshat call on Newhook. Both players were guilty of interference.

He wasn't pushed. They were in a clinch and he moved into the crease. It's irrelevant anyway. What matters is if it was out of sight when it was under Monty.
