Demko has been HORRIBLE since returning from injury. They need to go back to Lankinen for now instead of playing with fire and their season for Demko to try and get it together.
Goals 1 and 2 were shit and the game winner while a breakaway was a leaky trickler.
It's not like they didn't win a playoff round with him in the doctor's office last year.

They definitely didn't win a round last year while he was in the hospital, which is where he seems to spend a lot of his free time.

Interestingly #1 and #2 over that stretch.... Colorado and Pittsburgh. Some stars get treated like stars, Oilers stars you get 2 or 3 freebies before you get called.

If the strategy is to luck out and get a dumpster fire with no business in round 1 again, ok then.
Only way to get him going is to let him play through it. Missed training camp and stuff it will take a few months. Team just needs to support him and tighten up a bit until he gets his timing back

Goals 1 and 2 were horrible and left no margin for error for the goals that weren't. He's been an absolute SIEVE since returning. He's been completely unreliable.

He still keeps it a 4-2 game. Does he look like Demko of old? No, but he likely never will.
When you’re up 4-2 you need your defence to play defence, not cough it up for AAA scoring chances

I will say adding guys like Skinner and Arvidsson and losing a guy like Foegele doesn’t bode well for the Oilers come playoff time. They’ve also been less physical this year from what I’ve seen. Wondering if that’s due to the personnel changes or a systematic decision.
