If you guys ever stop bitching about the officiating, you might win a cup this millennium. So you think calls have no bearing on the outcome of the game?
Bad calls are simply a fact of sports. The best one can hope for is to get less than the other guy. After a BS call on Pionk.
It’s well known that players typically have a reputation that the refs are well aware of. If players want the benefit of the doubt, they should probably stop with the embellishment/diving. You’ll rarely get the 50/50 calls when you have a reputation.Yep. Very interesting. Super frustrating to watch.

your players are even softer than your fan base. Get to the tough areas, play physical, you'll draw more calls. The Oilers are, once again, 30th in the NHL this season for penalties drawn. Over the past 4 years they are 25th in the league at a net -33. They win a lot of games in spite of the refs.

Quite the oppositeWe should be good then because neither of our stars have a reputation of diving/embellishment. Quite the opposite, they take too much punishment, bet they would get way more calls if they did the head snapping and flopping like others.

It is not random at least not completely. I have never seen a high stick drawing blood not called 4 minutes except when it's a high stick on a Hab. One of the few calls the Sharks ever got was the high stick on Pavelski.Bad calls are simply a fact of sports. The best one can hope for is to get less than the other guy.

In Gary's NHL there's a lot of factors. What the score of the game is, how much time is left, what a team's PP% is, what team the refs have money on, etc.It is not random at least not completely. Still 0-0. The Penguins are now 4 out of 5 for goal challenges this season.
