The odd part about those calls is, to me, if the goal doesn't count, why don't they reset the clock to the moment the call was missed and not count any shots or anything else that happened in the meantime?

I think they do reset the clock don't they? Have no idea if they take shots off or anything though.
The NHL dreamed up a solution to a problem that didn't really exist. Judging how many goals are deemed offside on slow motion replay we could probably cut 100 or so off Gretzky and Ovechkin's totals too.

The right call but takes out another beautiful play from the game. They should have some discretion regarding if it has effect on the goal.

It should be a ten second cutoff (still a very generous amount of time) and the review should last no longer than thirty seconds. This would end 90% of complaints and catch the actual cases where it should have been called and the linesman fell down or something.

Something like that. I don't think it should be a hard cut off, just look if it has a direct consequence on the play. And that would be a judgement call by the refs and any errors in that process would be something we would live with.

Offside is offside, but If you can't get the puck back and cleared before nearly a minute passes, I lean towards saying the offside shouldn't matter anymore

We're still a little greasy

The Panthers are definitely still a little greasy, but most of the time it seems like they're content to just play sixty, shoot the puck around, and go home on these west coast trips. I'll never understand why teams do shit like this and decide 'yeah, I think I'll get nasty with these guys in a December out of conference game.' Pointless. Vancouver and Calgary both played pretty clean games and beat the Cats like a rented mule in this same road trip.

Our top guys look really tired in some games now. After two days off and no travel they should have more juice. I've noticed that Hynes has been handing them some heavy, heavy minutes. I wonder if he's simply running them down. You can't hand out these minutes for 82 and expect to have gas left in the tank. Faber in particular looks like he did the 2nd half of last season when his play deteriorated.

It's frustration, the dirty plays. And everyone hates playing Tkachuk, and, because the refs don't give him much leeway, boneheads think they can elbow him and whatever else. Sometimes he really does ask for it, gets him into the game. That's what I mean by greasy.
