It’s pretty amazing Makar probably the best pure skater in the NHL, could not catch him

I'm showing my age. But as a squirt, that Titan stick was the best present I ever got. Obviously beaten up blade shooting cans on pavement in the off-season, but it served me well.

Actually! I think I had a small Sherwood at the very start but my first real stick I wanted/got was the Lemieux Nike wooden stick - black with yellow down the middle. I thought it was so cool.

So I'd take that one (totally forgot about that till now). I'm not quite old enough for the Titan era but wooden sticks were still hanging on when I started, definitely had a few.

I remember my dad bought my sister a straight blade wooden Easton when she gave hockey a try.

I swear by wood. Especially for kids. Those things lasted, and, if you were a parent, it made Hockey more affordable.

Didn't help me learn how to shoot but definitely affordable

I bought one recently just to use for fun here & there. I'm pretty good with it expect wrist shots, I find slappers easier. Fun to bust it out & brag if you score haha.

Good walk down memory lane.

We learned last season that being the defending Cup champs means that every road game is playing against a team that heavily advertised the game as featuring the defending Cup champs, the game was a highlight of their season, and their players always brought their absolute best A-game. You can kind of handle it early in the season, but it can really wear on you as the season goes along. Being the defending Cup champs is a nightmare in that sense, but it can also make you a much better team if you can stay healthy (Vegas could not).

Yeah, I think that is happening to us right now. Plus the fatigue from two straight Finals runs and add in that we play a playoff style in the regular season.
