Is there a team in recent nhl history that drafted bottom 5 for consecutive years and ended up with two abysmal talents like Slafkovsky and Reinbacher?

The Canadiens are going the Oilers route. They'll need at least another 3 or 4 years of top 3 drafting to even have any franchise talent in their organization alongside Demidov if he works out.

This is the worst organization in the nhl by far. Kent Hughes is lucky he lucked upon drafting Demidov.

The Habs, at some point, need to transition from fun rebuilding hockey to trying to win. Not too sure if St. Louis is the coach to hold his top minute guys to account for their lack of defensive play. Heck they are at the bottom of the entire league now with the Hawks.

Habs are a rebuilding team. They are probably still a couple of years form unloading the worthless garbage MB collected. Drouin, Dadonov, Anderson, Dvorak,, Armia etc. And several key players to come - Demidov, Hage, Fowler, Dobes, Reinbacher and 2 or 3 guys who will be solid 3rd or 4th liners.

Been hearing that since 2010.
