Lafreniere belongs in the AHL. Way too slow to get up the ice, easily loses a board battle and then takes a stupid penalty. He doesn't do a single thing at even an average level

What is the value of Lafreniere? I wouldn't pay a 1st because for that the player needs to have a decent ceiling that they can hit, but are just struggling.

With Lafreniere his ceiling seems low, he doesn't skate or process the game fast, too weak to win board battles, his passing is inaccurate with a lot of passing into skates or closed lanes and he can't create space to get shots off. He just seems like a career AHL player. With Kakko he's struggling, but atleast you can see a high ceiling for his talent that he could potentially reach

What a pathetic showing by the Rangers in the third. They registered 6 shots but I can't remember them getting any sustained pressure for the entire period. Even when they pulled the goalie they didn't have control.

They have one of the best teams on paper but looked pretty medicore this game. Oilers didn't look great either.

Last I saw, NYR was up 3-0. Without even looking, I'm going to guess at least 2 of those Oilers goals in the 3rd period were on the PP.

Only the 4-3 goal was on the PP (after an absolutely idiotic penalty by Lafeniere). The other 3 were 5v5 with both of McDrai on the bench.

Fair, but sometimes goalies just get beat by a good shot. Trouba had all the time in the world and passed it into a line change.
