How are the Caps so good this year? New offseason acquisitions?

Young players stepping up (McMichael, Protas).

Lots of savvy acquisitions (Chrychrun, Mangiapane, Vrana, Raddysh, Duhaime, Thompson, PLD) - all of whom are contributing.

Addition by subtraction (Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Oshie, Kuemper).

Frankly, it's been a magnificent GM clinic.

Pretty much nailed it. Only thing I would add is that they have a couple of key guys returning to form who were hampered by injury last year— Nic Dowd and Tom Wilson.

You get extremely lucky to have your awful contracts get injured and kindly ask them to not partake in the year.

Then turn around and bring in decent talent. Not overly difficult. They still don’t have the top end talent to do anything meaningful.

Where did he post this garbage?? in our GDT? I didn't see it which means he's on ignore - which also means he's guaranteed to be an asshole.
