Caught a replay on Twitter, seemed to me that Helleson had the lane, didn't move out of it to make contact & didn't stick a leg out. Zary seemed to be in pretty tight when he initiated the move.

Not commenting on what the refs called as I'm not watching the game, but I feel like that wasn't intentional by Helleson.

Really unfortunate result. I've always really liked Zary & now he's become an awesome player. I hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as it looked.

No. Knee on knee should be 5 and a game. If you make a hit and it ends up knee on knee regardless of the reason the player should be booted. if it is an accidental collision like Laughton and Michkov tonight then there should be no penalty.

Get a clue. That is just an example of an accidental collision. if a player makes a hit and it goes wrong he is responsible.
