Not sure why oilers fans are crying over a game that involves NYR and Canucks lol.
If you actually watch the game instead of looking at the shot clock you will see Canucks are dominating the rangers. Rangers with low danger shots while canucks had hundreds of 2 on 1s with half of them wasted. This is why stat nerds should actually watch the game before commenting.

We dusted Edmonton 3 times this season pretty easily yet you have the audacity to come and say Edmonton is better. Edmonton is only better on stat sheets but on the ice Canucks beat them. Its proven so why talk about it? Wait til playoffs.

Team with whale mascot 25-11-3

Team with whale mascot +47 goal differential

Team with whale dominating teams and getting good shot opportunities

Team with whale < PDO :(

Vancouver is proving all the doubters wrong this year folks. Well...to be fair, there was legit reason to have some doubts, but they are shining bright so far and the haters are salty AF. They absolutely beat NJ pillar to post a few nights ago (regardless of NJ's injury woes) and they are running a train on the NYR tonight so far. I almost feel like it's a safe bet that they make it past the first round at the minimum in the playoffs.

Even fancy stats back up how the Rangers haven't been outplaying the Canucks. Of course these are even strength stats. Been a game of good back and forth hockey

Imagine adding to that 2nd line a Vatarano or Lindholm or Guentzel lol. If we keep the lotto line and 3rd line intact, then improving that 2nd line, they will be very very hard to play against. We could have 3 20 goal scorers on that 3rd line and maybe a 20 goal scorer in Hoglander on the 4th line
 
Reading the Rangers board thread is like reading all the other opposing team threads this year, they all blame their goaltender. After a while you just accept that their skill is so high that every shot is a higher danger shot because of who is shooting and the confidence in their system, it's contagious this playing with confidence thing.

here's the more important stats.

26-11-3
#1 in GF
#4 in GA
tied for 2nd place in ROW

but my favourite stat so far is 3-0 against a certain team whose captain ordered his minions to skate early because it was "CuP oR bUsT" for them.

It's unfortunate that Jersey has been hit with the injury bug. They would be a good test as a fully healthy squad

Actually Vancouver has dominated the Rangers this game too. Dont look at the shots, look at offensive possession time and the dangerous chances Canucks have but sometimes fail to shoot. They could easily be up 8-2 if they didnt overpass on 2 on 1 breakaways.

To be fair all us Canuck fans also had doubts. A wildcard playoff birth would have been considered a successful season for us.
