Loser mentality. Especially because after the top 4-5 picks it's really not that big of a deal. The 12th pick has just as much of a chance as 9th.

I'd rather have a team that has a bit of pride and as fans we should never be hoping for a loss except in very rare cases like 1st overall and a #97 is the prize.

ESPN (especially) and TNT needing exclusivity makes it hard to do in-season schedule juggling. Especially on short notice. They can’t really take those games from the regional broadcasters and ESPN is probably unwilling to blackout locally in favor of having the game nationally.

In the NBA most of the regular season games they have are live along side the local broadcaster so they can juggle games better.
