Not a smart retaliation by the Flyers. Whether Kunitz should have received a misconduct or not, the Flyers retaliated before knowing whether a penalty was incoming for Kunitz.

Not the nicest thing to do, but technically what Kunitz did wasn't illegal, play only stops after he touched the puck, and nothing says he can't touch the puck by shooting it. As such, no reason to call a penalty against him.

Bingo. I think a lot of people in here are confusing it with shooting the puck after the whistle has already been blown (say after an offside).

All the outrage in this thread shows how most 'fans' here don't actually know the rules of hockey.

because that is exactly what Kunitz just did?

Nah, it's probably more frowned upon if there's a goalie (I remember seeing someone coral a puck in the net few years back, so not even a shot and the other team went bat**** crazy)

But I'd want to see how the refs handle that, and also the brawl would be fun to see lol
