They can make the playoffs without him. The problem is he gets pushed out the playoffs every year because his linemates are ineffective and he’s one dimensional on offence. With better players he might really good and be able to win a few rounds.

That's getting unlikely. The Sens are 8 points ahead of the Habs / Jackets, they're just as close to Fla and TB which I don't see them catching either. Will play the Atlantic division winner barring something crazy.

Yes I understand that. It was more so a wow the 4 best teams since January are all in the central. The Wild are still WC1 we don’t know for how long but I imagine that changes soon especially with all the injuries they have got and how hot the blues are at the moment.
