I think that’s partially why you really don’t see much media attention about the streak, they are nice little tidbits but ultimately mean nothing. These guys only care about the ultimate prize in the post season

Add that Vegas is probably more worried about coming to Arizona on Thursday anyway.

I know we passed Columbus at some point for the streak and I don't remember them winning a cup. Then we caught or are trying to catch a loaded Pens team from the 90s that also didn't win a cup. Let the streak die... It's like the president's trophy.lol

Monahan wasn't on the ice for the Jets' morning skate and my first thought was that he already injured himself at practice or some such. Thankfully he just skipped it - it was an optional skate.

Kinda surprised he skipped it though, after a long break.

Monahan hasn’t played a meaningful NHL game in a couple years now… and even then, he hasn’t been a factor in a meaningful NHL game in about 5 years.

He will get injured when he realizes what meaningful hockey is again. If he makes it to the playoffs without sustaining a season ending injury he will have impressed me.
