Then what would you call it? Oh, let me guess, it was a beautiful hit and Perron decided to take his skate off and try to stab the Caps players for a clean hit?

Yea enjoy the loss bud, i know it hurts. :( How many losses is that against the metro this year for the pens?

No need to exaggerate every little play... "body slam" ROFL.

Rule #1) If the Pens are involved in a scrum, it's never their fault.
Rule #2) Because Mario Lemieux loudly cries about goons, the Pens can't be accused of being a goon squad.

Don't engage someone multiple times and except no reaction.

So laying a clean hit on Brouwer means Brouwer can slam Letang to the ice and it be justified. I can't say that's the first time I saw that stupid logic, it was here at the Orpik-Thornton incident as well.

Rule #2) Because Mario Lemieux loudly cries about goons, the Pens can't be accused of being a goon squad.

And the other side:

Rule #1) If the Pens are involved in a scrum, it is always only their fault
Rule #2) Because Lemieux loudly cries about goons, anytime anything moderately borderline happens, it makes Lemieux a hypocrite.

Again, what would you call it then? Since body slam is too crazy of a term, what would you call it?

@wilw: Staples is at least half Blackhawks fans. That was the loudest cheer for a visiting team's goal I've ever heard here.

I sure hope Letang is OK after that brutal brutal takedown.

Did the Penguins really just play Crosby nearly 20 minutes in his first game back from injury?

Yup....despite employing Cooke, Downie and now Lapierre in the past few years. And a tryout from Carcillo. And the dirty Neal.

I have no issue with the Pens adding these guys if the want to add a different dimension than their star players.

But don't sit there all high and mighty thinking that none of your guys are just as bad as others.

I said it before....in games where emotion is involved, the Pens always lose more than they win. They excel in low emotion, chess like games. And adding Downie and now Lapierre seems to go against what will help them win more.

But I guess we will see in the playoffs...who knows...maybe it pays off. Downie does has skill...but he also has that crazy gene and you never know when it takes over.

I have so much hatred for these two franchises my head is about to spin off. I don't know what to do. I'm screaming at both teams.

One must win...

Man Letang must be really hurt after that one... really, you think Brouwer just lifted him up and threw him back?

Don't let his words get to you too much. This is the guy who's convinced Trouba tried to decapitate Perron last night.

And come on Hawks...don't let the Kings crawl back

Right there with you. All I can hope is they get more physical with each other since the Hawks get to wait while the Ducks play tomorrow.

This Kings-Hawks game is going to be really high tempo and possibly ... an elimination game for the Kings

I don't want to wake the giant. But this Kings team looks bad. They didn't look this bad the past few reg seasons when they were "coasting".
