Its defence. The team learned how to play team D in the playoffs last year and it continued through to this year. Goaltending has been a let down early, but its kind of solidified more since November. I dont think we've lost 3 in a row since the first 3 games of the season.
Yeah one of the best teams at not giving up high danger chances.....

i thought the game was over after 1 period, but Edmonton came on strong.

I'm sorry, but teams should be very afraid if EDM somehow gets a good tandem goalie or even an upgrade on Skinner

They are up their with WPG while EDM has sub 900 goaltending

Dominant performance by Edmonton on a "scheduled loss" back-to-back game by the schedule maker.

If the teams switch goalies, that's a 6-2 Oilers win. Nonetheless, the Oilers battled back after Skinner crapped the bed to start the game.
Skinner was pretty good after the 3rd goal imo. Once again would love it if he'd figure out how to do that at 0-0.

Pretty scary that the avs might be a wildcard team, think id rather play any team other than them in the first round

Oilers last 20 games, 16-3-1.

This game was their 8th game in 14 nights, in 7 different cities… 2nd of a back to back.

Nice win. Showed a lot of resilience today.
Funny enough 2 of those losses they were leading by 2 goals heading into the third and lost and the other, skinner was brutal and edm still almost came back. All they need is steady goaltending and they will (obviously) be a cup threat again this year.

Yeah they're still great and Nichushkin will make them even better when he gets back....

They never trully did replace Kadri though.........Therefore i think the Oil has definitely closed the gap on them.

How many of the top 7 teams in the west would anybody "want" to play in the 1st round? LA is like your best case scenario and that's still not great.
