Everybody may hate watching it, but it can be pretty effective. Sort of surprised that younger teams are not taught the system more often to keep them better competitive while they mature.
The issue with this now is players everywhere are being groomed at a young age for skating, speed, skills, ... then the play high end hockey .. same... get drafted based on those skills and then often developed further in the AHL. It runs counter to where the game is right now so you need to be able to get player with the right mind set. Fiala hates this with a passion but seems to most of the time toe the line.

It also isn't the only piece of the game... The Kings also play their man to man pretty well in their d zone. There have to be games though where they don't have the legs going or maybe they get down two quick ones and they need to find another gear and play a different game. If this was the Cup winning method, you would see some copycats.

I will say that the NHL will be in a better place whenever LA decides to abandon this horribly boring system. Good team, terrible style of hockey.
Maybe just watch the highlights then and allow those of us who enjoy aggressive defense to appreciate the fact that there are different ways to approach the game?

How many times is Jack Michaels going to mention the playoff history between the Kings and Oilers?

As long as there's not much happening on the ice, it will continue.

What's that saying? The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Every Oilers coach : "Hey, I know what to do, I'll play McDavid and Draisaitl TOGETHER! At the same time."
