Count me in. I think the drafting will wrap before I depart on May 13. Before heading into the Balkans I will be in Italia. Even if the card submission occurs while in Serbia I will come up with something. It might be the Balkans but it's still the 21st century. I will figure something out.
Let's start on Saturday? Draft order tonight? Also, should we split into two groups? Otherwise may be a huge advantage for the end caps that get the two picks in a row each turn.

Splitting into two groups would put only 7 people in each draft right now. Way too easy for everyone to load up at that point, would be boring. I prefer as many as possible in the draft. Getting to 16 would be good when it comes time to do the matchups too.

Might be a huge disadvantage for people on the ends too because they don’t pick for a while.

As of now I wouldn't want to split into two drafts given the small numbers they would have. We did that in 2017 and while it was fun, it was also the most stacked cards since. I always viewed hoping for a higher pick and having to scramble with a lower pick and flex the creativity muscles as part of the game aspect of this exercise and most drafts in general.

Draft order will be out Thursday. Start time as of now is 12 noon EST on Friday, April 8th.

It's true. You have great control for a very short time but then you're at everyone else's mercy for days. There are benefits to being in the middle or the end, no reason to think that one is inherently better.

The draft that was split in two still had something like 12 people in each draft I believe, and many of those cards were stacked. I also like the digging for buried treasure. I like having one project each draft where I try giving a forgotten or ignored wrestler who I enjoy a push.

To me the more people the better. Every year the wrestling world expands more and more. Their is a massive amount of historical wrestlers to use and each year more wrestlers emerge.

On the one hand I’d like to see two concurrent drafts because you’d be able to stack some cards, but overall I’m against it unless you get a crazy number of people because it affects future drafts.

16 is indeed a good number so we’re not left with any triple threats.

I'm intrigued by the new pick trading option....

Well trading picks was already occurring anyway. Every trade I ever made was offering a pick or picks for somebody I wanted and then I’d just take whomever they asked for. Picks themselves does change it a bit as you can keep your cards closer to your chest. Anyway, I just can’t wait to see how many picks you‘re gonna offer me for Thunderlips.

As if I would trust you cutthroats and rubes to pick the people I actually wanted. Picks on the other hand I can control.

Some rules questions:

6. Bolding this so everyone sees it, but just because the 8 hour clock between picks stops every day it does NOT mean you can’t make a pic during that period so long as it’s your turn.

5b. So do they have to be a six man tag that I’ve actually been a six man tag before or is this just clarifying that if you draft three guys you must make them a six man tag team team?

22. So by fictional wrestlers you mean someone who was actually a wrestler in a fictional context or are you saying we can create a fictional wrestler out of the blue?

It can be clarified, but see earlier in the thread, it's more supposed to be about live action characters as wrestlers played on TV or movies, with the person playing the character being the actual wrestler.

You cannot invent an entire wrestler, no. Fictional as in have appeared in live-action media.
Giving real wrestlers new gimmicks of your choosing has always been fine.

The 3-man team has to be a a 3-man team, not just having tagged together in a 6-man. The "famous 3-man team rule" alludes to this. It really only applies to a handful of 3-person teams.
For clarity, RK-Bro and Finn Balor would not be considered a three-man team after one random WWE TV match.

Yes, you can pick when it's your turn and the clock is stopped, but the person after you doesn't have their clock start officially until the morning.

Just a few notes on trading picks.

It is the responsibility of the GMs to keep track of their picks and trades. It is my responsibility to approve or deny. I will do my best to keep track on my end, but I can't make guarantees.

If you select a team, you cannot trade your skipped picks. If you pick a team and have already traded pick(s), it is your next allowable pick(s) that will be skipped, regardless of round in the event that you have picks traded. For example, if someone who has pick 20 takes a tag team in round 2 but have already traded their 3rd round pick, then your 4th round picks will be skipped. Make sure you have your picks and trades in order when drafting for situations like this.

Blah, right in the middle
This was one of those rare years I was hoping for an early pick as I have a wrestler in mind for my top guy. Now I'm nowhere near the ballpark haha. Back to the drawing board.

I like my picks closer together, I don’t mind if I’m close to either end
