I think I'm a better hockey player than these last 3. Even better at goalie.

I wonder how Croteau feels with this list. He's behind:

- Kostenko (whose coach isn't a fan of)
- Sobolev (who's never at rookie and development camps)
- Gordin (who is clearly not considered a prospect by the org)
- Biondi (whose right expire today)

I watched his NCAA starts and he's really not good. He literally doesn't know how to use any of the techniques he's been taught and got exposed on so many shots it wasn't funny..

He's gonna need to be coached up so much to be quality for the NCAA level at this point.

It should be noted that this is effectively the last vote since Smilanic won't be considered a Habs prospect anymore in a few minutes/hours (and he's still somehow getting more votes than Smith). Jack, you're officially he chosen one!

The past couple votes were rough.

What am I missing with Jack Smith?

All 3 suck, but with Smilanic and Vrbetic we have seen them play in the ECHL and there is 0 chance. 0.5 chance in a million gets my vote over 0.0...

Smith couldn't even produce in the USHL.

Smilanic and Vrbetic were at least deemed ECHL worthy. Smith can barely get playing time in year 2 of the NCAA on a mid level program.

Yet he was drafted in the 4th round ahead of Biondi and Farrell. Someone must have seen something in him. What happened is more what I am asking.

Like Casey Staum, he was drafted from high school hockey, where anyone remotely ok will put up big stats and look better than they are.

Like Staum, his lack of ability was exposed as soon as he got to the USHL. Then there are the injuries that didn't help.

I mean, Gordin is at least a good VHL player and Sobolev is slated to play in the KHL. Kostenko is a head case, but he is still a good offensive D.

Croteau still needs to prove he can play at the NCAA level, which is something Biondi at least did.

Vrbetic and Smilanic played in the ECHL.
Smilanic has gone so far off the radar I forgot what he'd done. At least he looked good at one point, Smith sort of hasn't. Vrbetic is good enough to have some hope, but he'd really have to bloom late.
