Beck I would move up. Where center who can win faceoffs and play all three zones. He's having good year.

I think knowing what we know... we'd be forced to move down Demidov a spot. Which is f***ing insane. Pardon my Japanese .
I think what Demidov is doing in his limited minutes in the KHL is mightily impressive as well. I'd still keep him #1, but the gap between the 2 would be a lot smaller. The gap between #2 and #3 would be bigger.

Probably everything from 3-30 changes. Just simple things like Harris or heinemen climbing and Eriksson or xhekaj falling back down.

That top ten is really tight but there would definitely be movement. Reinbacher falls just for being injured.

Of course it is. It's still not "being pretty much a number 1D in the NHL at 20 years old" impressive

- Hage ahead of Mailloux
- Fowler ahead of Roy and Mailloux, hot on Hage's heals
- Beck seriously challenging Roy - for the first time for me I have him a hair ahead of Roy.
- Kapanen ahead of Engstrom, and getting closer to Roy and Beck.
- Heineman right behind Kapanen, and Tuch right behind Heineman, as far forwards go. But then Dobes has to move up, so...I'll just wait till season endings do re do the rankings with even more info....

There's not a GM in the NHL that would take Reinbacher over Mailloux.

32/32 GMs would take Reinbacher over Mailloux.
With the DR injury maybe not, but Reinbacher as a way better IQ hockey and will be a non flashy really good 2 way defensman.

Mailloux is a beast, but even if he racks points he is really bad in his zone. I guess he can fix it but sometime he really looks like he's lost as f***. He should use his reach and size way more.

If im a GM and want to start a team David Reinbacher his the obvious choice. Really hope that this year dont slow his development too much.

Talent wise Mailloux dont have to be jealous of Reinbacher. The biggest difference is that David is a hockey player (high IQ) and Mailloux is an athlete (lots of tools but lack of hockey sense)

Reinbacher play the game the right way. Always choosing the safest play to be efficient.

Mailloux in the other end try high risk play. Less effective but more prone to rack points.

I love both of them, but they are not in the same league foreal

That's underrating Reinbacher. He was a top 5 pick for a reason.

And no, DR doesn't always choose the safe play, when he's at his best, he pushes the play in ways Mailloux has never done

Actually maybe im not expressing myself clearly since im not anglophone but what im trying to said his if you looks only on their tools box Mailloux as some edge over Reinbacher on certain skills

Mailloux has a better shots
More physical
Skating wise pretty similar

But the biggest difference and its really huge its the way they understand and play the game.

Markov has been a top 10 defensman for 10 years mostly because he was super intelligent. He was pretty slow, not the biggest, but he didnt need it because he was smart as f***.

Hockey IQ is the biggest quality for a player and you cannot learn it. The rest of the skills you can work on it.

Dont know if its make more sense 😅
