list updated with all the new additions! I'm really excited for this version
I was thinking I was being unique, meanwhile the comment right before mine is also latviaHell yea, go Latvia
So I’ve got the new season of NHLX back to standard conferences and divisions and a familiar 82 game season but still with the play-in playoff format and with the in-season Canadian and American tournaments as well that were added in the later version of last year’s NHLX. So basically the stats and playoffs should seem the same but with the in-season tournaments, more chances for players to win trophies and awards.
Yes I am hoping this weekend I can get you a test DB to maybe do some sims with the options you use though to confirm stability.Thank you @BKarchitect ! I think that is the most optimal way. And doesn’t require too much editing on your end! I really really appreciate it, honestly. Lots more to track and more playing opportunities for the players. I’m really excited. Were you able to get my PM with the settings I use?
Perfect that sounds good, should be available all weekend.Yes I am hoping this weekend I can get you a test DB to maybe do some sims with the options you use though to confirm stability.
I did like the concept of the 70 game balanced schedule but the more I looked at career stats, the weirder it seemed, harder to judge what a good season was. Going back to 82 will make things much more familiar for record keeping!
@francis246 (and anybody else)
Here is a link to NHLX 2.1 Beta - some minor roster work to do in juniors and lower leagues but everything else should be nice and updated for this season including all recent major transactions, re-rates for all major leagues in the world and NHL organizational systems and some new real future phenoms
- NHL is 82 game regular season
- The in-season tournaments are optional - you'll find them on the competitions screen as the Canadian Championship and American Championship. There is also the Turner Cup Championship which is the North American minor league cup between all the AHL and IHL (ECHL) clubs.
- Finally got all the Olympics and international offsets cleaned up last night. The Olympics will be on the correct years. The Nine Nations Cup (senior version) all the Regional Championships and all the Rivals Series should be happening on "off" Olympic years.
- You'll start to see an influx of more prominent future prospects from non-traditional nations (and some traditional ones) around the birth year of 2009 and moving forward. This should gradually ramp up the "level" of prospects from non-traditional countries and beef up the future NHL drafts. But I still wanted the major nations to be the biggest contributors of stars. It should be a healthy mix.
- Highly recommended to sim with the "Full" database and "Retain All Teams" options. NHLX has been streamlined so it is a more compact database than Pivot/TBL (less than half the size/staff - I kinda stop most the leagues at first or second tiers as opposed to the insanely fine detail that ECK and his team provide). It should sim pretty quickly even with Full database and that will ensure the most potential variety in the future.
I recommend some test sims to run overnight or at least thru the years that Superstar generally takes place. I have had no issues with critical crashes yet but let me know.
I will still be modifying some things but will cut off any structural changes to leagues or tournaments so if you want the newest roster in a couple days let me know.
Also - there is a full brand new logo pack for NHLX 2 which I will make available soon as well before the offical start of Superstar 19.
Thanks guys!

Oh I forgot to mention, I'll do quick tweak for the Superstar version of NHLX to have the Thrashers back in the NHL but in the Beta it's still Houston.
Really excited to get this one started, looks like a blast, any tentative date to get this started @francis246 ?
