Will fix everything
If all 800 NHL Players were asked "Who is the worst owner in the league" how many wouldn't answer "Terry Pegula"?

Over/Under 50?

I doubt most players have knowledge of team owners outside of who they have personally interacted with.

My guess is you probably get a pretty varied list. The Sabres would probably be at the top now that the Coyotes owner is gone.

From a player's perspective, there are probably a lot more that would view him favorably than you think or view him as neutral, even guys that may have had issues with management and higher ups. There tends to be a more personal relationship where the players see a little bit more of said owner/ownership, than what fans will experience. Fans most likely are experiencing a "narrative" built perception of someone, usually shaped by media sources, or limited viewings of a press conference or interview.

Nothing has really come up from players that would indicate that Pegula is a major problem with them, though I'm sure there are those that might not like the guy like any other owner or person might run into. You're not going to be the favorite of everyone, or looked at favorably. That's just how things go.

There are a lot more emotional connections between fans and an ownership/management team because the fans feel a sense of living through their sports teams a lot more often, and most likely with more passion. You have fans that have been around since the beginning. Expecting that fan to have a more emotional reaction to the organization than say a player that might've played on the team for 1-15+ years, in some case, shouldn't be shocking.

I know this might be disheartening to hear, but players most likely aren't going to have the same emotional reaction as the fans do.
Oh I can think of one thing Pegula did that put him on almost every player's shit list...

And that is what?
I remember former players (and maybe even some current players) being vocal about not liking how the Sabres handled Eichel's medical care and autonomy.

I personally think they didn't have the entire picture, but it wasn't a popular move. Some might also be aware of ROR being moved right before a big bonus was due.

The whole refusing to allow Jack to get the surgery/medical treatment he wanted.

And that might have been a moment that players may not have liked that particular thing. That doesn't mean that they would view him as the worst owner in the league, or hate him. Let alone create a situation where the vast majority of the league views him as the worst owner in the league.

The ROR situation, could be looked at as a business decision, which again we as fans have so much limited information regarding.

Apparently Pegula's do not like embarrassment. Is a 9 game loosing streak and a GM's press conference where the best thing to come out it was Palm tree's and taxes not embarrassing enough for him ?

The frightening thing is he walks into One Bills Drive and see's a professional operation being run but yet lets the Sabres once again get run into the ground for the 14th year.
