Big shutout for Clay, 2-0 Bears

I think Charlotte would be Hershey's nightmare matchup in the playoffs. Four wins in eight games over the season series but I'm not sure if they played one exceptionally good game against them all season, plus only three games with more than 20 shots against them.
Will Stevenson get the next Bears game start? I'm kind of annoyed how they keep going back to Shep. He's having a terrible season in GAA/SV%. I think Shep's time is done(should have already cracked the NHL by now, but it's obvious he's not good enough, to think he's the Caps 3rd goalie option). They need to let Stevenson play a lot and get into some type of rhythm.

Aw I like Greazy Keys too lol, he's a nice dude online and offline and will chat with ya even if you're a fan of the opposing team
that’s cool to hear. Every time i looked up at the TV he was on. And Bears were frustrating me. So i took it out on Greazy.

30 years ago i had season tickets for ECHL Raleigh IceCaps. Charlotte was a big rival. Then i ended up moving there. But that was ECHL days.

Monster night for Miro with two goals and two or three big hits. My guy was a wrecking ball out there. Bears battle back from 0-3 to take a 5-4 OTW. Clay's stats will suffer after this one. 4 GA on 16 shots. Can't blame him on two of the goals, both of which saw longtime Bears killer Valtteri Puustinen all alone in front of the net with time to make a move.

@Holtbyisms I told you he would be great. (Kidding of course haha)

Solid weekend for the bears. Watched some on Saturday. Was out of pocket on Sunday (took my just turned 21 year old son to MGM national harbor). It was a great experience but an expensive one. Haha

I feel really good about our depth defense which goes deep. Bear, Alexeyev, McIlrath, and Iorio are all good to play NHL games if needed. Even Priskie can play in a pinch.

They gotta do what's best for them first and foremost, but I sincerely hope the Caps wouldn't get rid of Bear without having acquired a suitable replacement first... be it via trade or waiving one of Al/Mac (assuming they clear, couldn't replace production but could theoretically take his minutes) first (assuming they upgrade 7D like they're rumored to do... whatever avenue that means). Especially with Ness out indefinitely

Does anyone know of a resource that would be tracking (and reporting) scouts' attendances at Hershey games? If be curious to know if they increased when Alexeyev was assigned and playing.

Yes, I know teams scout other teams all season. But the timing of him getting assigned and playing is noteworthy, and why I'm mainly interested in increases/changes.

Bears get one back on the powerplay, 3-1

Bears continue to press most of the rest of the period but just can't solve Subban

Sens come down and get about 30 seconds of zone time with under a minute to go in the second and score. 4-1 Sens

Never thought I'd say this even a year ago, but I'm ready for Shep to go.

Saulnier and Smith kicked ass in back to back fights early in the second when it was still 1-0. Saulnier whooped Jan Jenik first, then Smith took on Flyers Plug Hall of Fame member Hayden Hodgson. Belleville has been running their mouths and scrumming all night so it was satisfying to see. Unfortunately, Saulnier opened the penalty box door before the fight was official broken up after Hodgson took some cheap shots at Smith while the latter was down on his knees (second fight was right in front of the Bears' box). They gave him an unsportsmanlike penalty, a powerplay which Belleville scored on in about 15 seconds. Then Shep gave up a terrible goal probably less than a minute breaker. Should have been a rejuvenation moment but wound up being a meltdown moment.

No clue how Hodgson didn’t get an extra penalty. Fight clearly over and he landed multiple cheap shots on Smith which is why Saulnier opened the door. Refs just let it happen and reacted quicker to the door opening than the actual cheap late punches

Bears lose 6-2. Sixth goal was an empty netter. Probably sounds silly after a four goal loss but Hershey was the better team most of the game. Hit at least three posts in addition to the big saves made by Subban.

I somehow missed Mitch's comment. I will admit to not really paying attention by that point, though. Curious to see if Vrana clears and where he fits in if he does. He'll take up another veteran spot though, unless a vet (Bear?) is moving out by Friday.

For this season, they'll go as far as their D and goaltending will take them. Moving Bear certainly hurts that unless AA or Mac were to be waived. Caps would have to make that move today, though. It'll be interesting to see what happens and whether they can figure it out by mid-April.
