Lapi looked good from the get-go in Hershey this season. Nelson acknowledged after his first game- in which he was immediately slotted into the top six- that Lapi hadn't played much in Washington recently and it might take him some getting used to regular big minutes again. What do you Know- he's still a talented hockey player.

On defense… while it hasn’t shown yet, you need depth at Dee. So I’m keep Bear for both Hershey and as a call-up. Gone after this year, no compensation coming back. Fine.

And yes, on a couple of conditioning stints. Would love to send Mac down for WBS. And then give Alexyev a stint after that (or before).

On Lappy… you all know my thoughts. Glad to see him seeing some success now. Part of the process.
Fisch first floated the idea a couple weeks ago when Hershey played Bridgeport. The Isles had sent Hudson Fasching down for conditioning after being a healthy scratch in the NHL for most of the year and Fisch wondered if Washington might consider the same for the two D you mentioned. I'm not sure if there was anything to it or if Fisch was just thinking out loud but I know I'd certainly be okay with our D being bolstered for a couple weeks, lol.

Hudson was already sent back to Orlando. And he is on an AHL only contract.

Would Mac have to clear waivers? We have a few players that havent played in a long time. Vrana and Mac both could use a conditioning stint.
Mac, Alexyev, Vrana, Frank, and everyone else has to clear waivers. They are all at risk.

All of them except Frank are eligible for a consditioning stint of 5 days. That occurs after being a healthy scratch for 10 games I believe.

Hudson Fasching of the New York/Bridgeport Islanders, not Thornton.

I would like to see Bear back in the NHL. If we call him up he would have to clear waivers again to return to Hershey?

He seems better then some of the depth D man im seeing in the trade rumors.

He would go back free if plays less than 10 games. He isn’t coming up unless a Dee goes on IR since Alexyev and McIlrath must clear waivers and they won’t risk that.

And i agree with you on the Dee out there. We are a strong top 6. We have 4 more that can play legit NHL minutes.

So I’m not really looking to add there except maybe an AHL tweener LD on two-way deal. That piece is real cheap as an AHL trade. Plays for bears but our first LD callup with Aktel gone.

Just saw the middle finger email from Hershey that our 12 game plan doesn't exist anymore. Can't go to six more games a season living 2 hours away. Can't really afford the cost of the 18 game plan either. Guess March 30 will be our last game. Kind of stupid to push fans away when they've had trouble selling out this season.

This seems like seat reallocation. It’s not uncommon. They differentiate mini-plays from partial plans and these will have priority in a redraft. Been through a form of this a couple of times and right now with Caps. My seats are being turned into ice level boxes (the Vaults) so i have to move up like 10 rows.

This is kinda crazy to me. Bears haven’t had a player of the week since 2021. But we have won two Calder Cups. And we are having a subpar year we are still one of the best teams in the AHL.

Yeah, I read all that. I'll see what it is. If it is anything like other leagues, it will be a defined set of games. The 12 game STH plan allowed me to pick the 12 games. We will see, but I'm not optimistic.

FB group had a bunch of posts about it. Looks like you officially wouldn’t be a STH for the 12 game plan so you lose all the STH benefits. I also saw a post where someone said you’d lose your current seats, but that seems unconfirmed at the moment.

Regardless, Hershey skyrocketed the STH renewals in general. Not uncommon, but pretty shitty considering they’ve done that the past two seasons. But hey, you get free soda! You’ll just have to stand in a long ass line to refill your cup lol.

I emailed the STH guy but no response yet. My suggestion to him was that giving a more advanced notice would have been "fan friendlier." "Hey, starting in '26-'27 we won't offer your package for renewal, FYI" or something. Not "Take this 18 game plan or bye bye." I'll let you all know if he emails back, since I'm pretty sure there are other 12 game planners on here.
