tough homestand. They have a long season as well. Still in first place. Will almost surely make the playoffs. they are deep with deployable talent. But they definitely need to find some chemistry which has been missing all year.

Frank and Bear named to the All-Star Game.

If you wanna get REAL technical, they're in third place by points percentage, as Charlotte and WBS somehow still have 5-6 less games played. Obviously that won't matter by the end of the season when everyone's played the same number of games. But you're right that they'd have to completely implode to miss the playoffs, especially given that the expanded POs with the qualifying round exists.

The Bears were exciting to watch the last two years, this is just disappointing watching a bunch of dudes skate around with zero chemistry. Making the playoffs won't even matter if this team doesn't find some kind of flow.

Bears win 4-3 in OT. They were down 0-3 entering the third period. Goals: Ness, Dube, Saulnier, Limoges. Good to see them on the RIGHT side of this for a change!

Side note:

Hershey really needs to fix their stupid app. The notifications haven’t worked correctly since last year and my iPhone is fully updated. Some games I don’t get notifications at all and other games, like last night, I get notifications an hour after the game has finished.

This is a fun lineup for the Bears tonight. Iorio back on the blue line with Ness. Miro and Lappy on same line. Rybinski at center (which i prefer).

Vecchione with first goal.

4-2 win for the Bears. Vecchione completes the hat trick with an empty netter. Two powerplay goals as well for Hershey! Still only one regulation loss on the road this season. If they were above average at home, they'd be tip-top of the league again.

Bears fans... Can you tell me how much CMM and Protas played with Frank these past 3 seasons? Thanks
Not much, I don't think. Frank started that year on the third line with Lapierre and was on the first line with Sgarbossa and Vecchione. By the playoffs, Protas was on the third line with Lapierre and Anas, and McMichael was on the second line with Snively and Pilon. 22-23 was the only season all three were on the team for any extended period.

Miro has points in three straight (including a goal last night) and is always physically engaged. His assist Friday night was a laser on the powerplay that was tipped by Limoges. My biggest gripe with him is he had two point blank chances from the slot last night that he couldn't bury. Lappy's points are a bit more bunched up but he's still close to a point per game, although he hasn't scored a goal yet. I admittedly did expect him to be producing a little more than he has, but he hasn't looked bad or anything when I've watched. How good are you guys expecting them to be? Aucoin/Giroux levels of AHL production?

Thanks for the observations. I was just going off the stat line.

As far as expectations, Miro was projected to be a 25 to 30 goal scorer and top six NHL forward. His production at both levels seems underwhelming for that projection. Maybe it’s just time to alter expectations.

I would expect Lappy to easily be a point per game player at the AHL and nothing seems to be coming naturally for him. Again, maybe it’s time to change expectations for him to something more realistic.
