I haven’t watched the Bears the last 4 or 5 games but have seen we have had a lot of guys out and some Rays guys called up. One think I do like seeing is that Ness-Iorio has consistently been the top pairing. And then @Strawberry Fields comment about defense being strong makes me think Iorio is playing well. True?

I don't anyone's stood out more than anyone else but Ness and Vinny are solid together. Both steady guys who don't do anything flashy and do all the little things well. Except for the game against Toronto, both Shep and Stevenson have played better recently too. They just aren't getting offensive support.

Injury wise the team takes a step forward and two back. Vecchione got hurt the same night Sgarbs and Dube came back. He finished the game but didn't play yesterday. I'm not sure Iiked the stacking of Dube/Sgarbs/Frank on the first line. It really takes the threat out of the other lines. If Vecchione stays out and Limo isn't ready then I'd rather see Bogey or even Smallman or Rybi moved to wing on that first line, and Dube moved back down to keep balance. I think any of them would complement Frank and Sgarbs well.

EDIT forgot Lapi is back too.

Pretty good stuff to hear. Lappy to Hershey will be good for everyone. Bears have will have strong lineup down stretch. Love to hear about Ness-Iorio.

Death, taxes, the Bears blowing a multigoal lead.

I really wish Sweezey played 20 years ago so someone like Mcgrattan or Brashear could have... well, handled him.

I think the officiating has been a bit suspect. All game long the Bruins have been pulling dirty shit and goading the Bears and either the Bear will be taken off by himself or they'll take both. No fights but there's been so many scrums and so much rough stuff that it looks like a typical game against the Phantoms or Pens 20 years ago.

Bears win 4-3 in a shootout. Philp with the only goal in the entire shootout.

This would be a hell of a playoff series.

This is the kind of game I wish we still had Mac. Bruins goon Viel slammed Iorio's head into the glass on a boarding penalty in the second period and and Sweezey boarded Frank in the numbers in the third period.

Little premature teddy bear toss. Shut it down pretty quickly though after fans starting throwing when puck hit the crossbar.

Also, Lapierre looks like a man amongst boys. Maybe this will be good for his confidence but he is clearly above AHL talent.

Viel with another blatant hit from behind on a Bear. Dube this time.

Iorio isn't playing tonight. He got his head bounced off the glass after Viel boarded him last night. Not sure if there's a correlation there.

I saw Iorio was out with upper body so I’m guessing that is it.

And Hunt out again in favor of McDonald and Leivermann. They must not like him at all. he hasn’t been listed as unavailable. Just not in the lineup.

I think the vet rule often comes into effect with Hunt but he is genuinely pretty bad so I don't have an issue with it, lol.

Give credit where credit is due, the first five to ten minutes were shaky but the Bears were in cruise control the rest of the way.

I was happy to see them capitalize on a powerplay with Viel in the box. Leivermann rocked him near the penalty boxes. Viel got up and tried to goad Nicky into a fight, then went over and cross checked Frank (who was on the bench). Towards the end of the game he grabbed Smith after a whistle but unsurprisingly wasn't too interested anymore once Smith dropped his gloves.

Good weekend from the boys with 2 dubs and 102,000 teddy bears for a new world record!
102k! Damn! We had it before as well and wasn’t it like 72k. That is a big jump. I saw Gabby’s Charity (Gabby being the girl who started this when she was like 6) was donating like 40k. Insane!

And yes, 2 dubs. Great to see. We could do to get some guys healthy. is Sutter out long term?
