I haven’t watched the Bears the last 4 or 5 games but have seen we have had a lot of guys out and some Rays guys called up. One think I do like seeing is that Ness-Iorio has consistently been the top pairing. And then @Strawberry Fields comment about defense being strong makes me think Iorio is playing well. True?

I don't anyone's stood out more than anyone else but Ness and Vinny are solid together. Both steady guys who don't do anything flashy and do all the little things well. Except for the game against Toronto, both Shep and Stevenson have played better recently too. They just aren't getting offensive support.

Injury wise the team takes a step forward and two back. Vecchione got hurt the same night Sgarbs and Dube came back. He finished the game but didn't play yesterday. I'm not sure Iiked the stacking of Dube/Sgarbs/Frank on the first line. It really takes the threat out of the other lines. If Vecchione stays out and Limo isn't ready then I'd rather see Bogey or even Smallman or Rybi moved to wing on that first line, and Dube moved back down to keep balance. I think any of them would complement Frank and Sgarbs well.

EDIT forgot Lapi is back too.

Pretty good stuff to hear. Lappy to Hershey will be good for everyone. Bears have will have strong lineup down stretch. Love to hear about Ness-Iorio.
