At the end of the day Hershey had like 10 chances to put one away and eventually capitalized. Look at that PP. Hershey kept stealing the puck every time Firebirds tried to clear the puck.

Daccord made an amazing save to rob Hershey before the PP started too. What an atmosphere in Hershey.

Great win
1st pd they looked great after surviving first 3 or 4 minutes of hard CV push, looked like they were going to get the 1st goal many times thru the 1st 40
3rd pd CV was starting to look the better team but couldn't do anything in the Ozone, very little high danger all game from them
Hershey passed up on shooting way too much, blew many good possessions trying for "perfect over good" chances; thought blowing all those PP's was going to cost them, but came out on top :)

Last 7 games both McMichael and Protas combined for 2 points. In finals, CMM has a single A, nothing for Protas. I'm not exactly impressed tbh

There's a lot more to it than points. You watching the games? McMichael has been dynamite on the PK, he's winning important draws and on the ice for just about every key moment. He's directing teammates pre puck drop and showing leadership on the ice. Protas is playing a strong game down low, he's making good decisions and finishing checks(to my surprise). I didn't really expect any of the young guys to be the ones carrying the team on the scoreboard in the finals. This is when your veterans come through and you look for your young guys to not make mistakes and maybe chip in here and there.

not to rain on the good vibes, but….

Let’s be real…..They both need to produce to have long NHL careers….

CMM is supposed to be a young offensive guy…..2 way play is important, but his primary role is to produce offense. Both need to be a lot better to succeed at the next level.

f***ing right, Bears.

Have to wonder if Todd Nelson won't be named one of the assistants on Carbery's staff. Nelson is a former defenseman so maybe he slides into McCarthy's role?

Couldn't agree more, but then not producing points in a tightly contested pro finals at the age of 22 ain't the end of the road for them.
