The first period was hard to watch. There was little pace to the Rocket's game. Without Trudeau and Jacobs, Laval has a slow, ponderous defence. Even Engstrom looked a step behind the play. Beck looks tired. Even still, Beck's a notch ahead of the average AHL skater. Goes to show the talent difference between the NHL, where Beck's skating is just passable and the AHL, where Beck can create separation. Mailloux continues to struggle. Repeated give-a-ways and no mobility when the team really needs a boost from the back end. He did however make two great outlet passes.

We'll see what happens in periods 2 and 3.

Why did RHP stop playing the way that made him so successful? Right from training camp , he stopped crashing the net and being an agitator.

shouldn't be too hard, they only have to worry about 1 team, as Utica after they win tonight will be 19 pts back of us, the Sens are 14 pts back although if we lose this game they will have 6 games in hand. I don't know how the f*** a professional league has teams with that many games in hand as they have 7 on the Monsters after tonight. That's like 2 weeks off from everyone else.

He looks kinda down, like the injury issues really broke his spirit. I do feel for the guy, he got a taste of the NHL and the climb back must feel real steep right now.

He’s been injured multiple times trying to play that way. He’s cooked. Can’t see him back in the NHL.

he's looked like a shell of himself for the most part but since Lava's great start when they beat up on Utica 3 times, Providence 3 times, Crunch 2 times, they have not been the same team as they so often seem to struggle to create much offense. ABB looks like he doesn't give 2 shits, Simoneau, Davidson, Beck, Farrell seem like the only forwards that consistently work hard and can create things out there but even then you just wonder what are they working on in practice as the PP sucks ass and looks about as good as a screen door on a submarine.

Yeah, the entire team has been off for weeks now. They keep finding ways to get points but they should be way better than this.

Someone pointed out earlier Hershey skates very well as a team and are doing a good job of forcing us to the boards.
