Bouillon isn't good at all. And it doesn't have to do with his height - he just can't read plays or react properly. His positioning is just bad.

He's a #6 dman who can fake it for 13-17min a night tops.

Lolwut? Murray-Bouillon would be a nightmare. They'd get hemmed in their zone constantly. And the breakout would be non-existant. Nothx.

If they play against the opponent's top line, I might agree. But against 3rd and 4th lines? Murray-Bouillon will be perfect. Bouillon is surprisingly agile for his.. squat qualities. Not superfast, but he's a serviceable PMD and has reasonable passing.

Murray.. is Murray. You didn't hire him to be Letang 2.0; but to be a big ass muther****ing presence in front of the net. When you pay for a brickwall, don't complain that the brickwall can't move.

agreed...this team will be much better off on defense the day one of their younger D's on Hamilton force Bouillon out of the top 6

But for the time being, even though i'm really not a big fan, Bouillon is fine if the coaching staff doesn't insist on using him 20+mins a night

Boullion is a solid bottom pairing D. He's underrated by us because he's a midget and basically is a poor mans Gorges.

I do look forward to the day when the D filled out by young guns though.

Something like:

Tinordi-Subban
Emelin-Gorges
Beaulieu-????

Can't wait to see how this ''Burn the boats'' strategy is going to pay off for the Leafs.

"He had a story about people crossing the sea to take the treasure," James Reimer recalled. "When they got there they burnt their boats so they either had to take their treasure or die. That's what 'Burn the Boats' means."

I think it's funny to be honest.

Bylsma: Is that Bouillon-Murray out there?
Assistant: Yup.
Bylsma: CROSBY OUT NOW.

So... they will emule Cortes, who destroyed, r*ped and pillaged the Aztec civilization? Who basically took the part of the Four Horsemen for the Aztec apocalypse, bringing war, famine, plague and death?

How is that going to take shape? They will sabotage their plane, so they have to beat the Habs to take our team's plane?

Those worrying about the Murray - Bouillon potential pairing and their performance should spend more time worrying what pairing Diaz is playing on based on the preseason games and last year's playoffs.

That's a pretty small sample size. And why not consider that Diaz was an overall better dman than the other two on average in the regular season?

That's still a way bigger sample size than a pairing that has played all of one preseason game together.

Put an orange cone with Markov the way he played at the start of last season, it'd look decent.

That is dumb. If they wanted to make it seem badass, they should have referred to the time that Agathocles of Syracuse had his army cross over to Africa to fight the Carthaginians. In order to motivate them and get them to fight hard and conquer the people, he had the boats used to bring his army over burnt.

Eventually the Syracusans were beaten back, and Agathocles' son was executed by his own soldiers. Agathocles himself fled back to Syracuse, where after torturing people and generally being a dick, he was burnt alive after being paralyzed in an attempted poisoning.

In conclusion, I support the new slogan!

Really means a lot that people liked the GDT. A lot. Now I gotta start working on GDT no2.

That GDT is unbelievable!

That means a lot coming from you LS. Thank you! On a side note, I really wish I could be there tonight at SDS. I thought I'd be able to make it but long story short, I'm taking meds that prevent me from driving, and being in a crowd would be too scary. Fun pills to take at home though... If there's a next time, chances are I'll be there.

Really really OT: what's the best way to get a song out of my head?? I've had the same few words running in a loop for the last 48 hrs

"Sometimes I fantasize
When the streets are cold and lonely
And the cars they burn below me
..."

I love you song, but GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!

Why didn't they just buy out Agathocles' contract instead?

Cap issues? Bad CBA?
