I voted for everyone who I have absolutely zero doubt will make it. If I had any doubt whatsoever, I left them off. That said most of the rest have very good chances.

I meant to vote for Kane too but forgot. He's in 100%.

Assuming no major injuries or surprising declines I’d say all of them except Rantanen due to people penalizing him because of teammate strength and Panarin I think runs out of time to get enough counting stats.

Karlsson is a lock. Lol at the idea he isn’t.

Also, it’s insane to me that Pasta is only 28. Feels like he’s been around forever.

I chose everyone but Kirill, Rantanen, Panarin and Pasta - but I could see all of them working their way in. I also hesitated with Kopitar.
lol at the questions about EK comment, he has 3 Norris trophies, a mortal lock

I love that 100% of voters agree Malkin, the least among he, Crosby and Ovechkin, is a HHoF calibre player while the other two are not unanimous. This could change as more people vote but right now, Geno is at 17 votes/100%.

I guess Malkin is the most lovable between Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, Kane, Stamkos, McDavid, Draisaitl, Kucherov, Matthews, and MacKinnon? Because they're all stone cold locks. But he's the only one at 100% votes.

  • Kopitar was ranked #161 All-Time 4 years ago by the History of Hockey Forum. He's a lock.
Yeah that's where I landed too just not really a sexy name. I have a feeling he probably won't be first ballot depending on the class around him, truthfully I think playing on the west coast hurts him a bit.

Feel like a list of players pretty much locks to be in the hall of fame outside of maybe Panarin and Rantanen but I think they will get there.

Add these guys to the list to make things interesting:

Giroux
Tavares
Perry
LeTang
Burns
Josi
Pietrangelo
Vasilevskiy
Bobrovsky

Considering how many players make it in, these guys are getting in too IMO. with 60-70 players getting in over a 20 years stretch, I'm not sure you can keep these guys out considering the standard that has been set.

Bob and Vasi I think would be locks, Perry too because of his Hart. Other guys are more up in the air I'd think

Do you think the Hall will put the breaks on who they let in or maybe reach back a bit?

The guys on the list are more accomplished than many recent HoFers although maybe hamstrung by the lower scoring era?

Just taking Josi for example, Josi has a Norris, 3x NHL 1st team all star and is 2nd in goals and 3rd in points by a dman since he entered the league while being really effective defensively. He also has 4 silver international medals which is pretty solid coming from a Swiss player and he is still performing at an elite level.

Who else gets in above him? Is he at least a top 5 dman of his era?

3-4 players make it in each year lately and if that trend continues, how doesnt he make it in? Go back fully 20 years (including this one) and he still ranks 4th for goals and 5th for points by a dman without even playing a few years.

oh, and the dman with both the most goals and points over the last 2 decades (by a pretty good margin)?.........Burns (who also has a Norris) How do you leave him out?

How about Tavares who has a peak of a 2x Hart finalist, covered in gold internationally and the 3rd most goals and 5th most points in the league since he came in?

Its going to be interesting to see, not if these get in, but when IMO.

I voted for all of them. I’d be surprised if every single one didn’t get into the hall. The only ones that even give me pause are Fleury and Rantanen, but if guys like Carbonneau and Lowe can make it then they’re getting in too.
