One of the greatest Rangers ever and we got to witness him.

I'm very happy and lucky to have watched him. Certainly made the 1AM game starts worth it.
The aspect of hockey that fascinates me most is goaltending and Hank made NYR fandom an awesome/sufferable experience. He gave us dozens of all time saves!
Most memorable to me the Montreal one, also that crazy Columbus game, where he had like three-four insane desperation stops.

I also watched one of his greatest games, I'd argue most NA fans don't pay much attention to. It certainly feels underrated to me around here.
The 2006 Olympics finals. Go watch the last 5 minutes.

Everything else has been said.

Thank you Henrik and long live the King!

I dunno if you saw his quote in a swedish interview today.

" Jag hade svårt att se mig själv spela någon annanstans. Det är lite lustigt, i slutändan sa hjärtat stopp för att spela någon annanstans… "

translates to

"I had a hard time seeing my play somewhere else. It is a little bit funny, that in the end, my heart stopped me from playing somewhere else..."

Då visste Lundqvist att karriären var över: ”Som att köra på motorvägen med handbromsen i”

That's fantastic. Nice pickup.

Definitely one of my favorites to play the game, and I'm sure that's the same for a lot of us here. Incredibly intense player, but a great human being as well. As much as I love Shesty, I'll always miss not seeing Hank in net.

Enjoy retirement!

Give him whatever bullshit job title he needs to get a ring when we win the Cup

I wonder if he is well suited for management and/or coaching?

By the sound of it, he is open for considering different positions. Doesn’t mean he would be good at them, it’s hard to tell.

Might be the best player ever to never hoist a cup and an all-time great Ranger.

PS Does his retirement remove his cap buyout hit?

Class act. Loved his battle level. For sure my favorite Ranger for quite some time. The Rangers won’t see a guy like this between the pipes for a long time. Enjoy that retirement, Hank. Well earned.

That would be Ovechkin and Bondra

Henke!! We love you and you were a hell of a leader in that locker room, always took losses personally and were always honest in your postgame assessments of your game. I was always impressed with your performance (GSP voice)
Greatest Capital to ever play the game.

Hank, it was a pleasure, thank you for all the memories!
