So my new list would be: 1. Groulx 2. Nelson 3. Tourigny 4. Leach. But there is not much daylight between 1 and 2. As in I don't think you can go wrong with Nelson.
You should be anxious with any decision we make on a coach.Phew. I wouldn't have hated hiring MVR but I would have been very anxious with the decision.
Don't believe everything you hear.Very true. In fact, Elliotte Friedman did mention that MVR looks to be the favorite if he wants it

Same. And if Lambert officially enters the fray, I’ll have him 4th and Leach 5th.So my new list would be: 1. Groulx 2. Nelson 3. Tourigny 4. Leach. But there is not much daylight between 1 and 2. As in I don't think you can go wrong with Nelson.
100%. Chayka was constantly tipping his hand. Always volunteering way more information than necessary. Always saying exactly where picks were on his board, taking about exactly how long he was pursuing a particular trade, and when he was talking all about how Tocchet just blew all of the other candidates out of the water and it wasn’t even close. These are all unnecessary over-shares that serve no purpose other than to alienate people who will think less of you later. Is this management group much quieter than previous regimes? It seems that way to me... less stuff coming out until things are going down right? Is that noticed by anyone else or am I projecting that?
Meanwhile, BA apparently calls up reporters from the Athletic and yells at them and threatens them and demands their sources list. LOL. A little different approach.100%. Nor dismiss it.Don't believe everything you hear.
Seattle will be naming Tocchet head coach tomorrowNo inside info but I feel like this is close to wrapping up. Just a hunch. Either tomorrow or early next week. Won't be a Friday or weekend thing.
Yeah, I figure that's their "special announcement".
The Coyotes have been going with the normal suck new franchise model for yearsGuess Seattle is going with the normal suck new franchise model rather than the rare Vegas model.
See, that’s one thing I worry about. I don’t think they’re calling Lou for permission right after a heart breaking loss. I think they’re gonna wait a week out of respect and to let Lambert do what he’s gotta do to close out the season. Then when they do reach out, it’s to start a two week process. They've waited around so long for Lambert they may as well wait for Friday night. They lose, he probably gets a Monday interview.

I’d rather the Islanders win the series and the Coyotes just give up on Lambert. Especially because I don’t want him at all. If the Isles win this series, the Coyotes probably have to move on.
If BA thinks Lambert is the best choice, I see no problem in waiting. You guys are getting all huffy because YOUR guy may not be the next HC. This is BA's most important hire, and if that means more interviews and more waiting, who cares.I think they give it a day, fly him out Sunday night for an extensive interview series Monday onward and make a decision by Wednesday night since he is seemingly the last candidate. Lou is many things but he's not going to get in the way that much. Lambert has paid his dues and it's time.
I don't think taking Tampa to seven qualifies as heartbreak either unless Tampa absolutely shits on them again.
Gut feeling is that BA was honest with MVR and told him he was the second choice at best right now, hence him being out and back onto life with St Louis. Nelson is the guy if the Isles advance, I'd think.
Really don't want to go into f***ing July without naming a coach.
Dang, I thought we moved away from the "two weeks" a LONG time ago...See, that’s one thing I worry about. I don’t think they’re calling Lou for permission right after a heart breaking loss.
