So my new list would be: 1. Groulx 2. Nelson 3. Tourigny 4. Leach. But there is not much daylight between 1 and 2. As in I don't think you can go wrong with Nelson.

Is this management group much quieter than previous regimes? It seems that way to me... less stuff coming out until things are going down right? Is that noticed by anyone else or am I projecting that?

100%. Chayka was constantly tipping his hand. Always volunteering way more information than necessary. Always saying exactly where picks were on his board, taking about exactly how long he was pursuing a particular trade, and when he was talking all about how Tocchet just blew all of the other candidates out of the water and it wasn’t even close. These are all unnecessary over-shares that serve no purpose other than to alienate people who will think less of you later.

Meanwhile, BA apparently calls up reporters from the Athletic and yells at them and threatens them and demands their sources list. LOL. A little different approach.

Our previous regime was the student council in a banana republic. Our new one is a military tribunal in North Korea.

Gotta be Nelson or Groulx now. If the isles go down today, we’ll probably talk to lambert over the weekend. Depending on how that goes, we’ll probably have a new coach by sometime next week

No inside info but I feel like this is close to wrapping up. Just a hunch. Either tomorrow or early next week. Won't be a Friday or weekend thing.

They've waited around so long for Lambert they may as well wait for Friday night. They lose, he probably gets a Monday interview.

See, that’s one thing I worry about. I don’t think they’re calling Lou for permission right after a heart breaking loss. I think they’re gonna wait a week out of respect and to let Lambert do what he’s gotta do to close out the season. Then when they do reach out, it’s to start a two week process.

I’d rather the Islanders win the series and the Coyotes just give up on Lambert. Especially because I don’t want him at all. If the Isles win this series, the Coyotes probably have to move on.

I think they give it a day, fly him out Sunday night for an extensive interview series Monday onward and make a decision by Wednesday night since he is seemingly the last candidate. Lou is many things but he's not going to get in the way that much. Lambert has paid his dues and it's time.

I don't think taking Tampa to seven qualifies as heartbreak either unless Tampa absolutely shits on them again.

Gut feeling is that BA was honest with MVR and told him he was the second choice at best right now, hence him being out and back onto life with St Louis. Nelson is the guy if the Isles advance, I'd think.

Really don't want to go into f***ing July without naming a coach.

If BA thinks Lambert is the best choice, I see no problem in waiting. You guys are getting all huffy because YOUR guy may not be the next HC. This is BA's most important hire, and if that means more interviews and more waiting, who cares.
