Well, the car is in the shop so Humpty Dumpty can be put back together. The service lady told me exhaust isn't always covered under extended warranty but she thinks Buick might have a recall or something on my particular model. I sure hope so. Just finishing up paying off my stupid ER bill from December and along comes car repair.....sigh. And I'm sorry, but the tailpipe on a 2021 vehicle with 63k miles on it shouldn't just drop off. :skeptic:

I'm done with adulting, I want to be a kid again with no responsibilities

You have terrible luck with cars, girlfriend.

Don't I know it. Dealership said it would be $800 to fix it, plus the part needed to be back ordered with no ETA. The service lady called a friend at a local muffler shop and they said they could fix it for $100. She said "I thought you might prefer that" lol. Do ya think? So I'm on my way there now, they said they could look at it and hopefully fix this afternoon.

Never go to the dealership for anything that's not covered by warranty.

Edit: unless there's some proprietary OEM part that regular mechanics can't access. But even then you could get a Chinese bootleg off Amazon.

I’m sitting at a bar at Logan, get into the first available seat between 2 gentlemen. Pull out my laptop, start working. Guy to my right gets his check, server brings it over with his credit card and says “thanks Brad”. I think nothing of it, then a minute later look at the credit card and the full name is that of our old friend BrainOfJ.

What are the odds that of all the barstools in this airport, I end up next to an HF-er that I know?!

WE ARE EVERYWHERE

I'm reading the discord for our sim league and Brad says you'll never guess what just happened to me. Obviously it was this story, which in terms of coincidence, is amazing.

On a related note, you should definitely have added a few rounds to his tab

He sent an email to me and @EverettMike asking for help because some lady at the airport bar stole his credit card and was buying E Lindholm gear with it

I said I’d at least go with Coyle

A++ on the service from the local muffler place. No appointment necessary, they took it right back, quoted $75 plus tax to replace a piece of pipe, did the work right then and I was on my way in about 40 minutes.

So nice to go to a place like that and not get the runaround.

They had several nice vintage automobiles on the lot too. The receptionist said they don't advertise it, but they do vintage auto repairs. About the only thing they don't do is tire alignments because they don't have the machine. If I need further work done someday I am probably going to give them a call.

This is amazing.

How is dear Bradley? I feel like he should still be 22 years old and full of that hilarious youthful exuberance/ignorance. But, he's probably been f***ed by life and the hands of fate by now, so perhaps he is old and grouchy like the rest of us

Ok, like some of us

Where was this?

I had a brake conversion done on an antique and they damaged the body of the car putting it on a lift. Honest mistake, but damn I really wish that dent/ding wasn't in my driver's side door. I see it down at my feet every time I go to open the door

He’s doing great!

He went to the US/Canada game and said it messed him up for like 3 days because he didn’t get home until like 130 am and “we’re getting old now, KP”
