Yes it was actually when I was living in England that we had one. I think you can get them here in Australia but they're very rare.

I have been blessed with a wife of over 22 years that hates this "holiday".

When the gas company came out to check the house for a leak, the tech told me he had to set the water heater back to the original factory settings. Ok, no big deal.

Well, I found out quickly that "original factory setting" means "barely prevents hypothermia in a five minute shower." So I bumped it up to the next notch. Not really any improvement. So now it's going to the highest setting very ominously labeled "Very Hot" in red capital letters lol. I'm assuming that's probably what the previous tenant had it set on. I'll pay whatever extra that requires in gas, I want my nice, "very hot" shower.

When I bought my house the prior owners must have had the water heater set to 'surface of the sun'. I was a novice and didn't even know you could control that, I just thought it was awesome that I can get borderline boiling water out of the tap if I want it. After my dad nearly burned himself washing his hands he told me that was a thing that could be changed, I decided not to and just warn everyone that hot means hot here.

I don't care if it costs me an extra $100 a month, I'm never going back, it's amazing.

Our Wedding Anniversary is Feb 11 (just had our 30th), so I've always gotten away with the combining the 2 days. Had an overnight in downtown Chicago this past weekend. Full body scrub and massage for the both of us, 6 course meal at Topolobampo and spent the night at the Chicago Athletic Club across from Millennium Park.

She's good to go....

We went to the canyon last weekend--I hate crowds and jacked up prices on V-day. Seared filet at home tonight with sweet potato and @Glove Malfunction. AZ is beautiful right now. 70 degrees!

Went to buy a card yesterday...I tend to do it very quickly and don't pay attention to picture...

I went to Target after and laughed at all the guys running in to buy cheap flowers and cards.

By Sunday they’ll have it all in the clearance aisle and a mix of Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter on all the shelves.
