I'm curious to know whether it was the Blackhawk, the airliner, or the control tower who f***ed up
Edit: ABC News reading a copy of the control tower transcript and it sounds like it was the helicopter's responsibility to stay clear of the plane's path, so either it was unclear direction or they ignored it
By all indications the flight was on its final decent and the Blackhawk was on a training mission and got in their pathFirst impression with how low the plane was is the Blackhawk incorrectly entered the flight path.
Hopefully this gets people to pay attention to the fact that there is a critical lack of controllers and the ones we do have are overworked. There's been too many near misses before this incident
There is a lot about this that is just not adding up right now.By all indications the flight was on its final decent and the Blackhawk was on a training mission and got in their path
It’s actually pretty clear what happened. There is a lot about this that is just not adding up right now.
Just saw a report that no survivors found so far. 19 bodies recovered. Incredibly heartbreaking.

As far as I can tell, the administrator of the FAA resigned a few weeks ago. Such an important position, but still vacant. Boggles the mind.Same and I really hope they don’t botch the investigation.
When we send groups of employees to work a convention, we limit the number who are on any given flight. I realize that's not always feasible especially with teams, but I can't imagine losing a dozen or more coworkers all at the same time. This is the worst event for US Figure Skating since the 1961 plane crash that killed the entire team & their coaches. American figure skating was decimated and did not recover until a young skater named Peggy Fleming came along.

Max skated beautifully at US Nats. I've watched his routines on replay because I've been more into Ice Dance and seeing who is behind Chock and Bates. Anthony Ponomarenko and Christina Carreira seem to be the next in line.So devastating. Max Naumov just placed 4th at US Nats this past weekend.
And the kids, I can't even think about it. I've been following Spencer Lane's rise in skating and he was incredibly gifted. Their poor families, I can't even imagine.
Absolutely heartbroken for everyone involved.

I live 2 hours from Wichita and the only way to get to a hub like Dallas, Atlanta, LaGuardia or DC is to take one of these planes. I've never felt unsafe in one but now I am kicking myself for opting to go through LGA instead of ATL in April.
Exactly. I don't want to imagine the suffering if they survived the impact only to die in the river.I hope they all went on impact and didn't have to live through that.
