Overall a pretty good effort tonight. Hawks started slow and Crow kept them in the game, although he certainly helped the Rangers get back in the game too.

Love the PK. PP scored. Anisimov was great. He looks healthy again.

The back end still makes too many mistakes though. Every game you can count on multiple odd man rushes.

I agree on Forsling. He's really coming into his own.

Toews and Kane have to get it going. The team has to get more out of both of them.

When was the last time Hartman did anything positive? I'm really disappointed in his play.

Good game though, hopefully they can build on it. Just bank points.

Anisimov's looked good for a few weeks now. He struggled to begin the season. Looked like that leg injury was still negatively affecting him, but I'm happy to see how well he's done recently. Good for him getting the hattrick tonight.

DeBrincat is a stud. At his age and draft position, he should still be in the OHL. Instead he's killin' it in the toughest league in the world. Major props to him.

Also killing it is Forsling. I've said for the longest time that he had legit #1 potential and that's what he's looked like these past three games. Now I haven't looked at the advanced stats enough to know how much of his ice time is coming against easy opposition, but I do know that he's acing his assignments. Had one gaffe in the third, but Crow bailed him out. He bailed out Crow in the third as well, so it all equals out in the end.

I do not like Franson playing every game. He should be a guy who sits unless Rutta or Murphy struggles. He had too many giveways. Not even sure that the league counts him tossing a grenade to Schmaltz in the first as a giveaway. Let Murphy try playing his correct side, he's earned it. Also, we already have 1 too many slow RD's playing every game as is.

Anisimov with a wonderful quote on what he'll do with the puck that gave him his hat trick. "I don't know. I'll probably do some shit, like I'm going to put it on the wall."

Copied Chris Hines quote.

Crawford almost wets the bed and loses the game, he did give all momentum away yet again, this guy has a huge flaw, whenever the team turns it on and starts controlling the game he just has to give a couple softies for the fun of it, when he is left alone in his end for a while with no action he tends to think too much, they should give him a riddle to solve or something before every game...

Upon looking at the numbers, Kane was way better than I thought he was. I knew he had a monster shift or two, but in real time it felt like there were long stretches of 'just there' (which granted, still would have been an improvement over the last few weeks).

Good for him. Hopefully it's the beginning of a run for him.

Anisimov with a wonderful quote on what he'll do with the puck that gave him his hat trick. "I don't know. I'll probably do some ****, like I'm going to put it on the wall."

Hawks get W...but.

Brinksy should of easily gotten 1+2 tonight,if his line mates played better.

- he did many things right tonight, scored a goal, had couple more chances,
created scoring chances to others, stole pucks, registered one sweet hit, which
unfortunately you missed on TV,if you didn't pay attention,i wonder why they
didn't show a reply, strange.,was good in his own end

Am I just being mean to Seabrook or is he washed like DWade? His contract is a black cloud over this franchise.

Really?

Wow.

Ah, forgot about the EN and missed the 2nd assist.

To my eye he was struggling. Ill check the numbers, maybe my eye was way off.

Hockey is weird. You can play a great game and come up with nothing, or do what Schmaltz did and play crap almost 90% of the game but walk away with box stats.

Schmaltz is a kid, rough games will happen. Im more concerned about Saad, Toews and (still) Panik. 2 games isnt a trend yet, but its a pretty big blip.

Panik had no luck in few recent games but he's 2nd in points atm and shared 1-2nd in plusminus. As for Toews line, I didnt check adv. stats but it was two home games, so Toews line probably played shut down line role, we will see them in PIT, where ops probably will focus on Schmaltz-AA-Kane line.

Okay, at about 1:54 in that video, does anyone else here a little kid chanting "you'll float too"? Should I be concerned about it? I don't really have a fear of clowns, but if given the option, I'd rather they stayed the hell away from me.

I like Franson, but I think he gets a bit too much icetime and Matt Walker'd. Murphy, I just don't know yet.
Cat and Forsling looking great and it Looks like improving on a weekly Basis.

Get Seabrook, Franson or Murphy out and put Kempny in, there is no reason why he should be out instead of those useless D-Men...

Hayden needs to take Panik's position. I mean Panik doesnt do anything that Hayden couldnt except once in a month Panik can dangle one defender.

Hayden looks more responsible, he can protect the puck Saad-lite and he hits hard to the net too. He has more upside than Panik. Panik suits as of now better in bottom-6.

I mean yeah this new second line kind of works but I hate the fact they are overpassing it and Schmaltz wont shoot the puck. Put Cat there and Schmaltz 3C.

Saad - Toews - Hayden
Cat - Anisimov - Kane
Sharp - Schmaltz - Panik
Bouma - Wingels - Hartman

Forsling - Rutta
Keith - Murphy
Kempny - Seabrook (prefer Franson but yeah)

It is not that freaking hard.

Calling Franson useless after he had two primary assists seems absurd. Better times to complain about him

Franson has his flaws but he also is one of the few players on team willing to get puck on net

He has played in half the games for team at this point which is not really a lot and is not unusual to see from a #7

When Q sits Bowman's most recent mistake in Murphy people complain around here and the Hawks wont be healthy scratching our 7M mistake anytime soon

We may not like it but it would be major black eye for Bowman to see 11M in dead cap space that is 100% his fault sitting in press box if Seabrook and Murphy sit

John Hayden is a not a top 6 player and Panik is currently #2 in scoring on team. He is far from problem with his line

All your doing is forcing someone else to endure playing with Toews and having his performance dragged down by captain invisible

Point here is that better players should be playing every night to help the team win. I really don’t care if Stan looks like an idiot, he is an idiot and should suffer the consequences... Murphy should not be dressed, he is just very ordinary, to put a dollar value on it he is a $1.5M bottom pair guy if that. It is a shame to let go of a guy like Hammer who had a shorter contract and is ten folds better in almost every aspect of the game, now we are stuck with this bum and his contract for so much longer when the team wants some contracts to expire. It would have been better to let Hammer go after his contract was up than what is happening now. Nice move Stan the man!!! Funny thing is that now Stani boy will probably lose an amazing prospect to get rid of him and people will sit here and tell me how it was necessary pretty much just like the Bickell situation. This **** runs in circles but very few want to point the finger at Stan as the main obliterater of this team and has to go...

The Hawks these last two games have played their most aggressive north-south games of the season (along with game 1). They have had more net-front presence as well. And... they are shooting rather than over- passing in the O-zone (at least by Hawks standards).

And they have 11 goals in 2 games.

It is quite simple... net-front presence, north-south (not east-west) game in general, shoot quickly and often & clean up in front of the net. This will produce the offense.

Now... we have let up 10 goals in the same 2 games. Some work needs to be done there.
